Drawn with pencil first, then scanned and refined in MS Paint. I'm already working on the rest of his body. In the Marvel Comics, he's colored blue and yellow, which I interpret as comicky versions of metallic silver/steel and gold respectively. Thus, I have given my version some yellowy-orange areas which are meant to look like gold; but since I'm using MS paint, and not inclined to go into great detail for his colors, the flat color will have to suffice. Also, I didn't mean for his upper body to look so much like Megatron from TF1. But his Spark chamber is supposed to resemble the G1 Matrix of Leadership. Behold...
i was just thinking about that-i wonder if he will be dragged into the movieverse as well-seems logical, as The Fallen, another obscure character, was brought in. very cool idea!
Dragged? How else are they supposed to bring in a new scale of epicness without bringing in epic characters? Unless you're implying that Unicron would be more suitable - but there are some people who insist that Unicron has been "done to death". Even though, as far as I know, his most prominent appearance was on Transformers: The Movie (1986) Anyway, I think The Last Autobot is an awesome character. An ancient, benevolent, yet stoic, ultimate hero. It's like having the 16 Colossi from SotC as the heroes.
Yip! I also want it to look somewhat like Optimus Prime, to allude to Optimus's lineage as a Prime. By which I am implying that The Last Autobot is a Prime.
