Sorry to resurrect this thread without any news. But I've had LoK on the brain of late. I think it's because of all the fan fiction I've been reading as of late. I guess I've been trying to fill the void till the comic continuation comes.

And with that I ask this. Any theories as to when the new comics might come out? I've been guessing that it will be November at the earliest. December also seems like a sure bet. If not that early 2016 seems like the latest possibility. A February release would be special being my birthday month.  

So anyone else have any theories as to when Korra will return?

 

Well the new Avatar one comes out in September as does the last Korra Art book. So it'll be either end of the year or beginning of next.

 

Korra fans, voice actors Janet Varney (Korra), Seychelle Gabriel (Asami) and David Faustino (Mako, also of course Bud Bundy from Married with Children) will be appearing at Sac Anime in Sacramento, CA (the show runs from August 4th-6th).

 

Well next week is likely when we're going to find out what's coming out in November. We shall soon find out if November is the release date. If not, then the release window will simply start to shrink.

 

I thought the Korra comics weren't coming until 2016?

 

To me, it's either going to be late this year or early next year.

 

And with the release of the November solicitations we can officially cross off one month as possible release date(though I did have my doubts). Now the release window has been narrowed to December-February(my guess anyway). We shall see in a month weather we can rule out December as a release date..

No word on a release date though.

 

My nephew and I met Janet Varney (Korra), Seychelle Gabriel (Asami) and David Faustino (Mako and Bud Bundy) over the weekend at the Sac Anime Summer 2015 show. Really missing seeing new episodes of the LOK cartoon now!

 

I'd love to meet Janet, loved her voice for Korra.

I really hope she doesn't become a one hit wonder VA, she's got a strong voice....be great in so many superhero cartoons.

 

She would be an excellent Wonder Woman.

 

Nice! I love how Janet Varney has a Naga pendant necklace and Seychelle Gabriel appears to be wearing a pair of steampunk goggles (a la Asami) around her neck. David Faustino looks pretty much like he did back in the 80's, with a few more wrinkles.

And dude, your nephew looks a lot like my cousin when he was younger, lol. It's a little uncanny.

She's going to be at Hawaii Con next from Sept 11-13. I know it's not the same as meeting her but she does sell autographed prints and posters on her website janetvarney.com

That's funny that you mentioned your cousin looked like my nephew, what's weird is that some of the people I met at the convention said I look familar to them, even though I didn't know them - do all asians look alike?   All three voice actors were very cool and accommodating, getting up and taking pictures with every guest who asked.

 

Is this series out on DVD yet? I followed the Last Airbender when I was younger but wasn't able to watch this .

 

All four seasons or 'books' are available individually. With a complete series coming soon.

 

All four Books are out on individual DVD or Blu-Ray releases, and a complete box set is coming in the next few months.

 

Sadly I don't live in Hawaii. :/

 

And the December solicitations list nothing. Now that narrows the comics down to either a January or February release. With March a slight possibility.

 

The only Korra thing coming out in January is a statuette. So close this time...

Here's to hoping the comic comes out in February as a quasi birthday present.
