I'm almost sure Ebay seller HZJ401 had the Junkion Blacksmith sets, both red and blue but I can't find the listing now?
Aliexpress seller Smartlulup002 has them both for the rather low price of £12 each with free shipping to UK!

Yeah I saw a set for a silly price attached to a Jinbau listing - I don't recall the exact price but it was lower than the £11.00 I paid before.
I already have a red set - I thought a Blue set might be useful.

Any sign of a good price on the other design type that ultimately allows you to built a ultimate weapon combo ?

Thanks for the reply though. That might be good as Topcashback is sending out offer mails today for £5.00 cashback on a £10.00 spend.
    I might get lucky.

How are the coolbecomebrave CW Combiners compared to Hasbro?

I would rate them just under hasbro quality. they actually feel... lighter? Weaker? Cheaper? But only like 10-20 percent lower quality... if you don't have the officials, you probably won't be able to tell the difference.

For the Superion set, I think they could have easily cloned Firefly into Slingshot.

Fingers crossed for Computron, Optimus, Motormaster and Cyclonus sets.

I would say that it's maybe not consistent.

I have the first-run sold-separately CW Hotspot figure from CBR. It feels very comparable to the original Hasbro figure. I think the black plastic is a bit weaker... one of the hinge tabs for the chestplate broke quite easily when I tried to pop it off temporarily. Otherwise though, the figure feels great.

HOWEVER, I also have the Protectobot 5-pack (with the Takara-inspired deco), and they definitely seem cheaper and flimsier. The plastic is lighter, and feels softer as well. The joints are also much looser than the Hasbro versions.

They display alright, and you can play with them gently, but they are not the same quality grade as Hasbro. It's not too bad, because they are pretty cheap, and are not terrible for the price. But still, I haven't bothered combining Defensor, because my feeling is that he would be a bit too floppy.

I don't know if the first-run limb bots that were sold separately are different from the second run... but the Hotspot definitely feels different between those releases.

They're a bit hit and miss. Sometimes, you can't tell the difference. Other times, the quality is just a bit off: for example, the Alpha Bravo I picked up recently had a mushroom peg instead of a ball joint for his neck.

How would you guys rate Cool Become Brave against the quality of NBK Gravity Builder?

I think that the NBK Gravity Builder is much higher quality than the CBB stuff.

I mean, the NBK figures are (slightly) simplified versions of much more sophisticated toys (compared to Combiner Wars)... so the source is more complex to begin with but overall the construction is also better. The molding and joints and plastic quality are all superior on the NBK. It's actually a very good set for the price.

It's not perfect. The folding heels for Bonecrusher/Scavenger are on potentially delicate hinges (be careful to transform them properly!). The Scrapper has a simplified design that makes him sort of squat (he's probably the weakest in the set). Mixmaster's leg and knee transformation could be a bit more stable. But overall, I still really like them. Plus, each one is a healthy-sized voyager.

The CBB Protectobots are only okay. I'm lukewarm on them. But the NBK set is rather good.

The JJ version of Gravity Builder is not as good. Their Scrapper looks better, but overall, the build quality is lower, and they simplify a lot of the designs even more. I think NBK is the superior KO of Gravity Builder.

(though arguably, the oversized Jinbao version is the best of all!)

Is that still making the rounds? I figured that oversized Grimlock was hard to get now...

Did you get it? Do separate shots of all the bots if you did.

So, I went to a Tuesday Morning I hadn’t been to before (actually, this year has been the first time I’ve ever stepped foot in their stores), turns out it was closing down so everything was an additional 10% off. Saw and picked up these:

Pretty sure I have the “ONFALL MOBILE ‘ and ‘LAND SEA AIR’ in different sizes, but nice to have these and their ‘card-art’ to go with the others.
The dinos surprised me as I didn’t realize they carried these other types KOs. Wasn’t sure if I already picked up these from sirtoys months ago, but decided to pick up one of each nonetheless.

As for the quick ‘change’/cyber jet line, I’m just missing one of their motorcycles and a victory saber. Not too optimistic I’ll get em, but oh well.

New types of Number Combiners! :)  I wonder how big these are, same as the previous one or as large as the old ship type ones. Love how the +/-/= marks turn into feet and chestplates and weapons for the gestalt.

I think this is a re-released, anime coloured version.

Is he generally a good figure? I love mine (got it years ago). Recommended it to a friend, he got one and said it was a QC mess.

Got another set of 'new' old KO's. I vaguely remember seeing something like these more than a decade ago. The seller has the listed as 2002 from Way Out Toys.
    s-l400.jpg s-l400 (1).jpg
These appear to be based around the G2 Go Bots/Spy Changer transformation style.
Has anyone ever bought any of these? He's asking approximately $7 and trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on them or not.
