Most things at sirtoys are cheap (except the shipping).

The issue is if it goes on a want list then he has to find it for you. He can't neccesarily know what it will cost when/where he finds it.

i doubt they cost 1k, but, an indication of what he had sold them for would be nice. if there is a slight fluctuation in price, im cool with that, id be okay with a finders fee if hes going out of his way. But just having the ability to factor in a rough price with those shipping costs would be nice. cause those shipping prices arent cheap.

speaking on shipping from china...the last few things i got from alix came with free shipping and landed at my doorstep in ten days. that jinbao looks to be at that 10 day mark too. was ordered the 22nd, released from aus customs the 27th and 28th. being its friday night the 29th, ill have to wait until monday the 2nd and normal auspost hours at the earliest (10days).

need a bit of help here, I have a DOTM takara buster prime two pack that I am splitting and just selling jetfire out of. I no longer have the box and the buyer is asking for proof its not a KO. Is there a way to distinguish the two?

That was my first thought but I couldnt find one on him unless I missed it. I had him in robot mode and went over every flat surface I could find and even took the battery cover off and didnt see any markings one way or the other.

On comparison, it appears the KO has unpainted joints. Also, those little round pieces by his hips have no paint.

THe first one looks like an upsized retool of the Cybertron (UT) Thundercracker legends figure. They changed the altmode and removed his gun.

I don't get the 'shampoo bottle quality plastic' thing, shampoo bottles are actually very flexible and hard to break, while cheap toy plastic is very brittle.

Here's the thing to keep in mind...

"Shampoo-bottle" isn't a description of how cheap the plastic is (though it is cheap). It's actually a description of a specific KIND of plastic used.

Some KOs are molded in a hard, thin, brittle plastic, like you say. But there are also several items that are actually molded in a soft, flexible, waxy plastic, very much like that used on shampoo bottles and the like.

That's why, if you use a term like "shampoo-bottle" to describe a KO item, you're actually telling us something about what the actual construction materials are. Perhaps you've been lucky enough not to end up with one of these items. They're very flimsy, and because of the softness of the plastic, they're just about impossible to paint.

Here are a couple such examples from Sirtoys that I happen to own...
    Cassettes Set of 4 10cm - TF - SirToys.com
    IG Seaspray OS Set of 3 - 3rd Party - SirToys.com

I love the size of that Seaspray, but mine isn't in the right colours and I can't paint him, and the joints are -really- floppy. The cassettes are actually pretty cool, but the soft materials do limit what you can do with them a bit.

Another example (at least in some of its parts) would be the beast hunters abominus upscale ko, a lot of the plastic on that was pretty flexible

Best example of great shampoo bottle ko's

    Translucent Energon Combiners - TF - SirToys.com

Have them, even have sparkle flakes in the plastic... Super bendy and shoddy paint.

Ahh, the days of bathtub kos.

    Wait... New term? :lol

Whilst searching for one myself, I found this site that might have them for around 70 dollars. Everywhere else is selling them for around 100 dollars. The original "Grandus Hexatron" is only around 110 dollars at BBTS. Could people give their opinions as to which is better? One review stated that the ankle cogs/ratchets had been partially removed on the Clonedroid KO? Are the Clonedroids the same colour?

    Here is the link:

I didn't buy from this site as it didn't play nice with my dolphin browser, plus although it shows credit cards at the top of the page, they ONLY accept PayPal accounts. They don't accept "pay by credit card" within PayPal (which is an official option available for websites and which Sirtoys supports). The owners have limited English ability and replied to my first email, so you might have good luck with them?

I've found that the KO is commanding around the same price as the original though and I'm pretty sure it's a big toy. I'm either going to wait for SirToys to find one cheap OR get an inevitable cheaper and more CHUG sized Grandshot remold by Takara in the future.

Want lists are not pre-orders or legally binding. I use them to just alert him to new stock at rival sites, just to keep him in the loop. I put "just a headsup" or "news update for you, don't want.). Something like that.

That means it's just a way to ask him to look. It's not as if he will buy it and then demand you buy it from him. That's not how want lists work at his site. Apart from placing an order, there's no obligation to buy.
