Ok cool. Thanks, sounds like I didn't miss out on much then.
Τhere is a 1:1 KO with proper colours with sliiiiiightly different face, but I personally havent seen it up close.
Due to hormones clouding my judgement, I assumed the girl in the pics WAS you. Upon reflection, this is silly, as she couldn't take pictures of herself in that pose, from that angle, etc.
Good thing I didn't try and PM to hit you up, otherwise, if I was found, we would all be looking at a different type of "KO" discussion...
So, knock offs. I've noticed a 1:1 scale version of TLK voyager Megatron showing up on some shops at about half the price of the official one. I don't recall seeing anything come up about it in here. Does anyone have any info on that?
a 3 story tall toy of Voyager TLK megatron?
This I gotta see?
Meh, I'll wait for the OS version.
If we're going to get pedantic, standard voyager size. 1:1 with the original toy.
I was j/K. Should have used the blue text.
It's cool. Sorry if I came off snippy.
It's a direct copy of the Voyager, I believe. SirToys has got them.
I've seen this KO of DOTM Voyager Optimus around, even Amazon:
Is it any good as far as build quality, etc.?
To be honest, I have the nemesis version of that, and I wouldn't pay more than 10 bucks. Feels cheap, loose and unclean? (Swear to God I did not just come from a strip club, that's tomorrow )
Yea... It's out. I think it's wj or kbb. There are also a bunch of different KO squeaks coming out. There's a model Wizard OS squeaks and a KO squeaks (which I think is a Voyager KO). Pricing is what ud expect at $18 to $25 w free shipping.
Honestly, the movie seems so crap, I haven't really bothered to try to get these figures for my Rub deals as I just thought there wouldn't be much interest. Isn't the original like $20 or so?
Let me know when we get a red KO squeeks, or a black one.
Do what I do and buy recoloured, OSKO's of the film figures and use them as part of your CHUG collection. I am SURE that evcentually the dragon bots will get zany, jelly-bean recolours but then we will get an OSKO metallic/clear red Dragon combiner, and/or black versions with gorgeous gold and silver parts too, with added diecast parts. Hotrod will get a new, G1 style head and be amazing while Wei Jiang's OSKO Nitro Zeus will have cool colours based not on the film, too.
I wish you could still get the OS Generations Trailbreaker/Trailcutter and Hoist KOs
Also, was there a version of CW Megatron with more die-cast in it or am I just thinking of the black one?
The TLK series seems really half-assed and uneven, but to be fair, some of the new movie figures are pretty good... at least Voyager Megatron and Voyager Hound are great. The selection isn't big this time around.
But, they've also jacked the prices on all the new TLK stuff. In Canada, we're paying $10 more for each figure across the board (ie: $20 deluxe > $30, $30 Voyager > $40) for no sensible reason. I've only picked stuff up on sale or with coupons.
No, the regular deco KO version also has diecast in the chest. Generally speaking, my KBB CW Megatron is way more solid than the original. The joints are much firmer, plus it has the diecast and the extra joint in the cannon. It's great. Feels really satisfying in-hand, in ways the official doesn't.
The OS Generations Trailbreaker/Hoist might be disappointing if you're comparing it to recent releases. They're not really simplified beyond the removal of the clear plastic, but the plastic and build quality are only so-so. They don't compare to the recent WJ oversized figures. They're pretty cool KOs by the standards of 10 years ago... I like them, but they won't blow you away.
To be honest the os trailbreaker wasn't really worth it, plus it was way too big, almost as big as the os combiner wars limbs
I bought mine in hopes that they would make a nice, beefy, voyager-sized Trailbreaker and Hoist for my CHUG shelf.
They are very big... instead, they're like very big, beefy MP-scaled figures (though in a CHUG style). I like them, but it all depends where you want them to go in your collection. For now, mine are stand-ins for either my MP or Alternators shelves, but it's true that the style doesn't quite fit either of those collections.
