If there's a purple Shockwave in the movie I think there's a chance of a blue Thundercracker in the movie as well.

In G1 colors? Come on. The toy just seems to appease fans who love G1 style redecos. Even those who may not be sold on mechtech yet.

And also to please kids who are attracted to more vibrant decos. Its kind of needed when the movie decepticons has such a dull pallet of greys and browns without the constructicons.
Wonder if thundercracker is a target exclusive or something. Seems odd to have the redeco come out that fast.

Lol, that's one of the most amusing comments I've ever seen on here :)

Shockwave being purple is fine, for his alternate mode is a cybertronian tank. It can be in any color.

That just won't work with Thundercracker, for his toy alternate mode is a BLUE F-22 Raptor. In the movieverse, robots scan earthly vehicles as their alternate modes. And safe to say, there aren't any entirely cobalt blue F-22s around for him to scan in the first place.

It makes as much sense as Blackout or Grindor being lime green or Brawl in Seacons colors. Recolors would work on toys, but it would never work on screen in a live action movie. As I've said in an earlier post, a blue F-22 flying around in the movie would be the epitome of silly. Do you honestly think this will work? :

The only possible way Thundercracker could appear in his G1 color scheme is if he scanned a Blue Angels F-18 Hornet, or WW2 US Navy aircraft. Neither of that is happening though.

After seeing that shot of the big battle scene with all the repaint characters I wouldnt be surprised if they just decided to throw the other 2 seekers in the movie just to bulk up the decepticon forces.

Well the only thing that makes me even think of the possibility is the quoting of "Well Starscream won't be the only one to rule the skies this time around.." Or something like that, I forgot who said it, correct me anyone if you remember.
BUT if thats true then that leaves the possibility for both Starscream and Thundercracker. Or of Course the other possibility of Silverbolt and Starscream. Or we could get Thundercracker, Starscream and Silverbolt for a big epic dogfight. Thats my thoughts. I doubt they'd put him in those colors, so maybe the toy was just homage to GI, but the movie bot would be more decepticon like.
As the guy above said though, I would of loved to see a Blue Angels Autobot! That would of been awesome!

Swindle was in the game, and Wreckage was originally intended to appear in the film... so far as I recall.

An aggressor F-15 would be perfect for TC.

Considering their tendency to reuse CGI models, I'm surprised that we haven't gotten Skywarp and Thundercracker. A black F-22 wouldn't look out of place and they could probably get away with making Thundercracker a steel blue.

If he is in the movie (and is an F-22 Raptor), I hope that they at least make some tweaks to the design so it's not a straight-up repaint (like having a different head sculpt) and DEFINITELY NOT have him voiced by Charlie Adler. If he was just a straight-up repaint and voiced by Charlie Adler, I'm sure a lot of non-fans would be confused as to why there's a "blue Starscream" and Starscream himself.

Is that Universe Acid Storm in the foreground? :p

Actually, I agree. That blue F-15 there would be awesome for Thundercracker. I wouldn't mind seeing someone repaint a Classics or Masterpiece toy with that paint scheme. I like camouflage color schemes.

This is kind of an easy one. Remember all the OTHER non-movie toys from the past 2 movies? Were they in the film?

Okay, after that, now I think that he's in the movie, as well as Skywarp.

As much as I would prefer otherwise, I am almost positive TC is not in DotM. I really don't see how a blue F-22 would work. The F-22 is made for stealth. Screamer's tatoos don't affect stealth much, but TC's dark blue coloring would make him easy to spot.
