3, I think. CA, AZ, and the one in Vegas. I could be very wrong about that though. Au contraire mon frair. They have (or had) bumper stickers that say: In-N-Out Burger You can cut the "B" and the "r" off of it, and you now have: In-N-Out urge Awesome.
never got to try it whenever we've gone to Vegas...still want to try it one of these days. just found out there's a Five Guys Burgers here too that i will need to check out. The local burger joint here is Bugerville, who uses locally grown ingredients...its not bad, not the best though. The one back home i really liked but is no longer there is Kenny's Bugerhouse, that was my favorite.
I could really go for a double double with animal style extra crispy fries and a neopolitan shake. I'm going to Vegas mid October and that's one of the first places I'm hitting.
Five Guys isn't bad...but honestly, I never felt like it was any better than I could do with a grill and all the ingredients. So it was more like a conveniently good burger than anything else.
Incidentally, the Wall Street Journal, America's premier printed news source, declared Atlanta to be the best city for burgers in the country, with the three big names (Ann's, Vortex, and Earl) all within a few miles of my neighborhood.
There's a place in Arlington, VA here call Ray's Hell Burger that's pretty good. Expensive since it isn't a fast food chain but good every once in a while.
Some of the best burgers in NOVA at at Whitey's in Alexandria. Good chill place for live music, also.
So I know when I go to get one of these burgers, what is animal style? And what does 4x4, 6x6 etc mean?
Not exactly sure if it's the same place you mentioned. The place that closed was in Arlington, not Alexandria. So maybe the place you went to is still open but I googled Whitney's Alexandria, VA and all that showed up was the Arlington place.
And spoken, it's four-by-four or six-by-six, etc. Don't go walking in there ordering a 4-times-4 or a 4-ex-4, you'll just get laughed at and might not enjoy the food as much... But yeah, after ordering Animal style once, I never went back to regular...pure awesome.
because of this thread I went to get me a double double, fries, and shake. Mmmm....good. I heard they expanded their menu to include chicken wings now. I didn't see it on their menu. Is this another "secret" menu item? I didn't bother asking the employee about it.
Word. If there's a Five Guys nearby, there's no reason to go anywhere else short of grilling your own.
Hit up In-N-Out for lunch today. I love being this close to home. The only thing that would be better of course would be if I could move home.
