I love Terry Gilliam, he has a style of filmmaking that's unmistakable and unique. It's interesting, too, how the film coped with the death of Heath Ledger halfway through its production by adding in Depp, Farrell, and Jude Law as alternate versions of his character.

I'll have to remember to catch this when it's in theaters.

Gilliam is a favorite director of mine, and I adore the highly imaginative, fantastic/surreal nature of his films. This one I'm catching for sure.

A Terry Gilliam film is always a special event for me. Each one is wonderful in its own way. I even loved Tideland, which seems to have gotten largely overlooked and forgotten.

The fact that Gilliam cast Tom Waits in a role just makes me love him even more.

Came out right around the same time as Bros. Grim, which is probably one of the reasons it got overlooked. While Grim was distracting everyone with its flashy hollywoodesque hoo-ha (as much as that can even pertain to Gilliam), Tideland crept out of the shadows, looked around, went back into the shadows and died.

Surprised they don't mention Ledger at all in the trailer.
