Hello all! I am proud to ready three heads going to be ready soon on Shapeways! First one is a G1 Hot Rod head inspired by "All Hail Megatron" appearance: It is designed to look young and innocent. The patron who requested this head intend to use it on Breakdown, probably inspired by this digibash by @air_hammer. However due to the depth of the head, some cutting is required under the car hood for the head to fit in alt mode: Secondly, I reformatted this head for 08 Animated Rodimus Minor: It has a lot of moving parts which allow you to achieve either the normal look or the goggled look as seen in the big movie. Sneak preview: More can be found in my latest post. Last but not least, a "MTMTE" Rodimus head for TF Prime Wheeljack mold! It is still being test printed, but you can get a glimpse of it from my shapeways designer page.
Very nice as always! A question, if I may. Would there happen to be any plans of making a G1 toy styled head for CHUG Trailcutter/Breaker? The human face doesn't really do it for me.
If I could get the head for the Animated body to work on CW Ironhide, I may have my Generations Energon Rodimus finally...
Love the first and last. I'll decide which one I'll buy hopefully when their ready. You do some of the best design work for the modern TF. Really, you should be on salary. But I've said it 50 billion times and I'll say it again,,,, mtmte ratchet head???
Painted the 2nd head for animated Rodimus. Apologize for the color difference, I don't have the color to match the Japanese color variant. Also, the model is TIGHT! I mean it is so tight that I can't press the front and back together and I don't want to force it anymore. So in the released model I'll try to loosen it up a bit. Not its best angle, since the front of the head is not fully pressed in the eyes are too much recessed With goggle lightly attached (without removing the eyes)
would it be possible for you to make a version of the head for animated Rodimus body without the crest so that it's more like the g1 cartoon?
I get it However for the head to fit under the hood in alt mode either you have to cut off chuck of the head or cut off half of the peg Breakdown has a rather tiny head and the cavity made for it does not have any extra room. No idea buddy Got it...on my to-do list to go along with the already designed G1 1 toy-accurate Hoist head I intentionally left some of the animated head element in this design...for otherwise to get pure G1 accuracy one would have to replace the legs with something more squarish. Still, this can be done. In fact I am working on another version of this head for Cloud Rodimus so I'll figure something out there. thanks for the input!
