    You ask who we are.
    We are onrushing storm
    The insatiable swarm
    The children of chaos.
    The broken dregs of war
    Reborn by the Master’s will
    As demons on steel wings.
We shall sweep through the stars
    Till they are burnt away
    And all falls to one.

Ahem. Ho ho ho. Jollity all round

    And that sort of thing.

    Humbug

Anyway, yes, may I present for your delectation my latest endevour, the neo-Sweep!

These aren't quite the ones loyal to Scourge, as you'll note by the lack of facial hair and the Unicronian insignia. These are the soliders who serve Unicron directly, going ahead of him to ensure that there is nothing that can stand in his way. Meals that fight back are jolly incovinient, you know. Incidently, sorry about the rough edges on the above pic. I've only just found out how to produce background-less images from ProEngineer and I may have to update later.

For now, here's some much more interesting shots:

A Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

And a big thankyou to everyone who's ever posted any photographs of the Scourge toy online. The damn things are the most irritating of G1 characters to model - curves and cloak-wings and talons and basically everything that makes 3D-ing them extraordinarily difficult. And which is why, now that I've finally got it right, I'm going to do Hasbro's trick and repaint the hell out of them...

    The High Hunt is coming...

    *Gasp* He....he.....shaved!

Anyhow, pretty good modeling, love the vehicle mode, especially. Still think he should have a Santa beard for the holidays, though :p  :D

Awesome job!! :thumb  You have a great balance of rounded and boxed limbs. Makes the whole design look natural. Really like that last pic of the sweep transforming. :thumb

Nice work! The first pic makes me want you to make a pic of a bearded Galvatron with a sweep-pulled sleigh.

    Thanks all!

I've always had this strange idea that only Scourge had the moustaches and that the Sweeps had these sort of blank, featureless faces...wierd.

Anyway, this next pic took all day and was worth it!

    Chaos is coming!

This is a beautiful bit of modelling. Is it based on the Titanium fig?

    Thanks!

Ramrider: The model was mostly based around G1 Scourge in how the body fits together but the wings are taken from the Titanium figure. Basically, I just looked at as may comic, cartoon and toy pics as I could and mixed them together.

Great work, dude! The second pic is really wild.

The one thing I was thinking about - after looking at that second pic - is how neat it'd look if you actually mixed things up a bit. Instead of having all of the Transformed sweeps in one section of the picture and all the alternate-mode sweeps in the other, why not distribute them? I think that'd make the armada even more visually imposing.

    Thanks!

Your probably right. My idea though was to have the 'flock' rising upwards while the armada shoots underneath. Maybe I'll get round to a massive armada piece at some point, with hundreds of the things, a few Unicronian ships, the Huntmasters...maybe even the monster planet himself...

Now, don't you just hate it when you finish a piece of work and suddenly realise there's a glaring mistake. I could have kicked myself when I saw that I'd forgotten to close up the jetmode sweeps' arms so that they didn't show through the hull. Grr!

    Slightly ammended 'horde' pic below:
