This is why I avoid those games like the plague.

Any game where you can play it during your free time is good, even in short 5-10 minute spurts.

Any game that makes you obsessed with playing it 24/7, turns you into a hermit and an overall disorganized mess is bad.

I read a bit of the comic version and was none too impressed.

Honestly, I don't know if I'd like it as a comic either, but the show really grabbed me. Heck, I'm not even that much of a gamer, but the interaction was amusing, and I can pretty much relate from the fact that I spend a shitload of time online (mainly on forums).

I'm behind then. I wasn't aware that season 5 was out there.

I'd totally forgotten about this until today, but I thought season 5 was really good too. I don't know if it topped the shit where they 1st started meeting irl (hopefully this doesn't spoil anyone), but it was definitely worth screwing up my sleep cycle for.

I'm a huge Guildie! My wife and I watch it every week online and own Seasons 1-4 on DVD. It's my favorite show (still in production). I've never played WoW but have friends who do and I haven't played anything resembling an RPG since Super Nintendo's Secret of Mana or more recently, X-Men Legends if you can count that, but you don't have to be a gamer at all to love The Guild. It's really about the characters interacting with each other. I'm loving Season 5 and am really partial to Season 3 since I'm also a big fan of Wil Wheaton.

I highly recommend the DVD sets. The Seasons play out so much better in one sitting (generally about an hour and fifteen minutes long) and the disks are loaded with bonus features, commentaries, and funny easter eggs.

    Wil Weaton!

Also, you're totally right about watching them in one sitting, and that's usually how I've watched em. I think it was season 2? that I watched week by week & it was hell. After that I was like aight, I can wait a month or few to be able to watch a bunch in order, especially since each season is sort of like watching an hour long episode in full.
