this isn't a about who would win in a fight to the death,this is about which character you think is more awesome and has a better personality,as for me i vote Green Lantern.
Is there a specific GL and a specific Flash you're thinking of comparing? IIRC, there have been 4 Flashes (Jay, Barry, Wally and Bart) and 4 GLs (Hal, John, Guy and Kyle), assuming we're only counting human characters and the "main" DC universe, so it's a little hard to say who has the better personality or is more interesting without knowing exactly which Flash and which GL we're comparing. Wally is my choice for Flash and Guy Gardner my choice for the GLs. However, I don't have a lot of exposure to the Flash universe, so it's hard for me to really compare the two.
I think you'd have to be more specific concerning which Green Lantern, and which Flash you are referring to. Wally West is my favorite flash, and Kyle Rayner(sp) is my GL of choice.
Jay > Alan Hal > Barry Wally > John Guy > Wally Kyle > Bart (Note: I consider Bart and Kyle better contemporaries than Kyle and Wally)
id have to say Green Lantern [any of them] over Flash [any of them ] im just more a fan of the Green Lantern and all that encompasses it. I like the idea of the Lantern Corps. Intergalactic Police and all that comes with that. I just find it WAY more interesting than "guy who can do stuff really fast"
Wally, hands down. Hal is a good superhero, but incredibly dull as a character. Of the five main GLs, only John Stewart is less interesting than Hal. Wally, meanwhile, is by far the most interesting of the Flashes and, quite likely, a much better character than all of the GLs, too.
In a Hal/Wally comparison, definitely Wally. However, I think Hal/Barry and Wally/Kyle would probably be better comparisons, since Hal and Wally are from such different generations.

I love the flash to bits so I say flash. He's so fast the green lantern probs couldnt do anything to stop him...The flash is actually quite strong aswell.
