I'm not sure because the bad third films seem to come after a really good second film. Maybe all the success from the second film goes to the film makers heads so that instead of building on their success they go off in some weird direction instead.

3rd movies go wrong because too many damn people have their say in what the movie should be.

Example: Spider-Man 3 was mostly ruined because people insisted Venom should be in it, even though it was already set to be about Sandman. In the end, Sandman didn't get enough time to develop and there wasn't enough budget or time to make Venom the freaky villain he was supposed to be. 2 Villains, 1 movie, all ruined.

Its not the number of combiners that I would have an issue with - its the number of different concepts. Combiners is only a single concept - once the concept of combiners has been introduced its easy to introduce multiple characters who fit this concept. Similarly the casette concept (i.e. smaller TF's hitching a ride in their larger companions) has already been sorta introduced via frenzy and scorponok in TF1.

If done properly - all of the rumoured concepts could be awesome - but my fear is that non TF fans will be overloaded, confused and ultimately turned off by the movie trying to cram too much in. All of the concepts have their individual merit - but I think it would be better to introduce them more gradually and build up the TF backstory a bit more.

I think it's more that by the third film in a series, the audience is pretty well guaranteed - so why bother going through all the trouble of making a good third movie? Everybody who has seen the first two movies in a franchise is going to see the third one anyway...

That it will have too much mythology in it.

I hope the movie does as well financially as the first, so that more might be made. Although I hope the best for the film, a part of me hopes Bay ends his TF tenure after #2, as I would like to see some others get a shot at the franchise. His style melded very well with #1, but I'd just like to see other interpretations.

Anthony was funny and he acted pretty well, but his character is just not necessary.

You might be thinking of the Decepticon Vortex. He and BlackOut were similar types of copters, and they were the same color.
I personally view BlackOut as Vortex since they're similar in my eyes.

That fight scenes will last 8 seconds and you won't be able to see anythig due to the camera shaking around. I just want some good fights scenes with some heavy weapons being fired at each other. Oh and Optimus's gun should be badass.

My top five things I am worring about this movie:
    1.Ravage being a pretender
    2.Justice to soundwave
3.Little to no decepticon lines and scenes
4.Megatron NOT coming back as galvatron
    5.Powerlinking

Yes once. And it it didn't even phase Megs. You didn't get a good look at it either. It was one of only a couple let downs for me in the movie.

My greatest fear is exploding teeth. Imagine having hot coffee before the movie, going in, taking a sip of ice cold pop, and BANG! All your teeth explode from the extreme change in temperature, sending plaque and filling all over the theatre.

That and my brain being taken over by evil space crabs, thus depriving me of watching TF2.

Oh my god, considering what we have been told about the pretender, being a hot college teen chick named Alice, if she's really Ravage...am I wrong to think that Ravage having a hot teenage chick as a pretender shell is worse than the method of expressions used in Energon?

There's some pussy jokes in there somewhere, but I don't think they'd be fit for public posting.
