    Sprint.

They said that you could in this game and in gameplay footage I've seen it and it makes me a happy bunny. You have no idea how much I wanted to sprint in MP.

Oh you mean the greatest addition. I thought this was going to be about collectors editions or something.

I agree, sprint was desperately needed.

To be fair, it's not like it's a new addition. As far as I've seen, Optimus' "Sprint" ability looks identical to the "Dash" ability he had in WFC, which select Campaign/Escalation characters and multiplayer Scouts could use.

But not everybody had the dash ability. Only Leader characters, right? So yes, it is a new addition.

Taking an ability that a select number of characters had and making it universal isn't really something I'd consider "new". Though since this is pretty much just an issue of semantics, I'm not really gonna argue it.

Nah, dash was like a sudden and short, well...dash. In the video, Optimus' sprint looks like it's way more prolonged and controlled than a dash.

I'd agree, if it weren't for the fact that the transformations in High Moon TF games take a half an hour. The sprint allows you to run at a guy and hit him, it's more of a mid-range tactical thing. Run at a guy and chop him in half. If you want a crazy sick nasty drive at someone from across the map and transform punch them in the dick you'll have to play ROTF.

I agree sprint should be in a TF game but I'm not too worried cos we can transform and go fast

sprint is just a cooler way to dash. in fact, dash is probably better because it's a quick dodge ability (that's also good for countdown) whereas sprint will be the same only not as quick

It looked a lot different to me. Dash is a short burst that let you cover a small distance whereas sprint allows you to continuously alter your movement speed. While yes it's debatable that transforming is in the game for the same purpose as sprint, transforming allows for greater tactical use such as quickly retreating and covering ground quickly.

Screw sprinting, I'm gonna be the goddamn Grimlock! Who needs to sprint when I can go T-rex on everyCons sorry ass?!

But now that I think about it, sprinting is useful. So, cool.

In a lot of shooters now though, people want to be able to sprint. I think you'll find High Moon is trying to grab more peoples attention, like hardcore gamers, a lot of these gamers most likely will have played CoD... Meaning they wont be used to the transform ability and simply putting the sprint in allows the gamers to get more enjoyment from it. Making transforming not necessary to get across the map faster than normal.

Me for one like the new sprint, simply because I prefer to have the option to change my speed for a short period of time, without having to transform. I'm sure there are many that agree with me...
