The good and the bad haven't changed much since the previous years in my book. Though, a couple highlights other than the obvious ones:

    GOOD
-My dealer table was THE FIRST you see coming into the dealer's room. o_O

    BAD
-Dealer's room, as big as it was, didn't really have all that much to offer. :/

    UUUUUUGLY
The growing presence of frightening fangirls is scaring the crap out of me.

Allow me to illustrate with an example from my art table:

A group of fangirls that look like they just held up a Hot Topic raid my table, giggling like mad. One of them starts flipping through the samples binder on the table and says "I need to show a friend of mine one of you art pieces. I want to break her brain!"

    She flips to this pic...
...and then motions to her friend, who is wearing a Deluxe ROTF Sideswipe on a chain around her neck like it was Rapper Bling. She looks at the pic and then starts to berate me for drawing something "so retarded" and "inherently wrong."

Then she and her groupies loiter in front of my table for the next ten minutes talking about the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker "slash" fanfic they've been writing together.

    Yeah.

    THE GOOD
    Parts Party- new faces
Weird Al- THE MAIN REASON I MADE IT
Everyone who asked about me and helped when I needed it. The support I have gotten from the boards during this hard transition was great. thanks again to everyone.
Party at Paramount was awesome. Seeing Devastator on the big screen was incredible.
The Sheraton ROCKS, shuttle service to just about anywhere-FREE

    THE BAD
The unrealistic lines. I understand that on Saturday people had to wait over 2 hours just to get into the dealers room.
The Hollywood tour was really bad. I understand that FP picked something they thought would be fun but no one is perfect. You know it's bad when EVERYONE on the bus wanted to cut the tour early and go back to the hotel.

    WTF
Once again no one is perfect but you would think that after FP saw all the dealers that they would have enough space in the dealers room. WAY TOO SMALL. When you know that Hasbro took a big chunk of space and then putting the Prime cab in there??? Bad move. People were packed like sardines.

    TOTAL BS
Year after year I still do not get it. Fans that do not take baths!!! I actually walked away from my own booth to get away from one guy. It really is sad.

I must've had a stuffed nose or something, I didn't smell any BO. Or maybe I got lucky.

And I know it wasn't me, I showered every morning, my roommates can attest to it!

    GOOD
    -Seeing lots of homies
-Saw a few new things in the dealer room, managed to get my parts list cut in half
-Picture with Weird Al at the Party
-Hanging with my uncle afterwards, and getting to put my toes in the ocean :)

    BAD
-Fucking long ass lines as always. I hate being right. I had told Brian that I seriously doubted adding extra people to the club store would offset selling ROTF toys there. And it didn't. That line was retardedly long (I skipped it Thursday night)
-That one dealer, across from Megamus and Gen1Fan, right next to the Hasbro booth, who sold me an incomplete Countdown as complete (that's what I get for trusting people), then refused to give me my money back. We eventually worked out store credit, and I really had to scrounge to find something to fill the gap, but would've just preferred my cash back.
-The party was NOT worth $50. First we had to wait outside for over an hour, and we couldn't even go on the actual Paramount tour. Which I heard sucked anyways.
    -Loosing my mp3 player :(

    The Good:
The selection of food places with reasonable prices was AWESOME.
The Hilton Shuttle service was awesome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The Paramount Party was totally freakin' awesome. The movie footage introduced by Micheal Bay. Tyrese Gibson's fangasm over Peter Cullen being on stage.
    Meeting Weird Al
    Playing with Stolen Chinese Toys
Sitting in on a recording of the podcast and getting to participate.

    The Bad:
Taking KSA to the ER for what turned out to be walking pneumonia.
The insane number of people crammed into the dealer's room.
The insanely slow line at the club store Thursday night.
The stench while they pumped out the storm drain in front of the convention center... it was like concentrated fan-stench.

    The WTF:
Northwest airlines screwing up our request for a wheelchair to get KSA from gate to gate in Detroit, then nearly closing the gate door on us when she's within 100 feet of the gate.

Miss Muffin top at the airport. This overweight woman covered in tattoos with two little girls (oldest was perhaps 6) decided that it was perfectly fine to walk out of the house wearing jeans, no underwear or bra and a white cotton top that was too short for her frame. Naturally she had to sit on the floor in front of us displaying her butt crack to the world. The real kicker was her she was looking directly at her kid whose ass was hanging out as well it took KSA calling miss muffin tops attention to it for her to pull up the daughters pants!

Oh man, I had (happily) forgotten about that. Once you got on the convention side of the street, the smell was gone, but it was horrible over in the restaurant area.

I'll just list what was different from most other Botcons:

    The Good:
-Weird Al, the Paramount Party. For those of you who have not seen it, the Devastator combination sequence will be the most epic 30 seconds of your life
-Lots of relatively cheap places to eat within walking distance
-Found a company that the Sheraton had deals with that gave you a luxury almost-limo personal taxi service to and from the Bob Hope airport for only $25/person
    -Leozack in the comic
    -Epic Hasbro booth
-Animated toys coming out eventually, YAY!
-The dealers were unusually reasonable on their prices this year

    The Bad:
-The ludicrously long line on Thursday night. So much for the "more horsepower" promise. I would have put this in "the ugly", but I had a friend who was about 1/4th of the way from the front that we were about to go and talk to (which means I essentially "cut" through a huge section of the line-- don't worry, I didn't buy anything that limited like Mixmaster or Voyager ROTF Megatron [otherwise I would've felt guilty, rightfuly so], just allowed us to get out of there before midnight and get some grub)
    -Really crowded dealer room
-Hooligan was not a purchaseable toy-- would've preferred a three-pack of the other Energon Starscream repaints in the comic as opposed to 3 identical Sweeps
-Couldn't find any Animated McStarscreams to complete my TF McCollection

    The Ugly:
-The Peter Cullen panel. Seriously, that was just embarrassing. The combination of that HUGE butthole at the end and the constant fan-girl requests (GO TO THE AUTOGRAPH LINE INSTEAD, THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS PANEL IS FOR) made this the last Peter Cullen panel I will ever attend. If I want to talk to the man, I'll go in the Autograph line from now on. Also, there were a LOT of creepy comments. ATTENTION FANS: Peter Cullen is not your God, nor is he your father. He is a respectable, admirable gentleman, but he voices a flagship character for a toyline. Get a hold of yourself.

Oh good GOD I wish I had been there when that happened. I hate women that take their vaginas this seriously and would have been incredibly vocal about it.

    IN ANY CASE

I have nothing bad to say about this con. At all. Maybe the fact that I wasn't around as much as I should have been *cough mountain climbing cough* and that my Fast Food diet was incredibly lacking. But the area, the party, seeing all you cats, the deals, the new friends, etc etc etc... I ain't got a bad word at all.

    EXCEPT

Not enough of you all there. ECONOMY GET BETTER *SMACK SMACK* AH MISS MAH PARTY PEEPS!

    The good
Megamus and Gen1fan for hooking me up with my highbrow
All the celebrities Weird Al and Tyrese (hopefully we get more)
    Berger and McConnohie were cool.
I love the pasadena location, that's one reason why I went to this botcon.
Making new friends and hanging out with old ones.
The bumblebee costumes and the cobra gang
Stan Bush and Vince Dicola concert

    The Bad
The idiot at the very end of the Peter Cullen Panel
The fans wanting Peter Cullen's autograph at the panel. Wake up early, get in line and make a sacrifice.
They will probably address this next year in the form of "out of respect to other fans, autograph request should be kept at the autograph sessions and please limit your questions to 1-2 or limit it to good questions"
No more asking to act out a drive-thru scenes.

    THE GOOD.........

-About half the people there were normal people that I could have a beer with and shoot the shit about other things than just Transformers
-Being blown away by the amazing stuff at the Parts Party hosted by our boys Jim and Bret
-Being a local guy = no hotels, know where to grub, know where to park
-Having homeys to chill with in loooooonnnnggggg lines

    THE BAD............

-The other diehard/freak half of the people there
-Chilled/Met with way less people than I was hoping for
-I knew from the first day that the only way to have fun was to have a decent amount of money to spend
-Missing out on a $140 MIB Kirk because I didn't have enough money
-Crying kids suckering their parents into buying overpriced shit ($25 for an animated lockdown)
-"Cosplay Panel" being just a bunch of text slides, I thought it was something like Midnight Masquerade at comicon and wanted to see the girl (guy?) underneath the arcee costume
    -Not enough sexy vintage bootlegs

    THE WTF..............

    -Shoplifting kids
    -No Weirdwolf tails at BOTCON??!?!?!
-Serial killer, slob, degenerate super-nerds talking to dealers FOREVER about totally random stuff when theres a couple impatient heads that just want to pay for something.
