Just a place for everyone to pick a line of figs and list their favorite, least favorite and absolute despised figs of that line.

    Beast Machines.

    The Good:
Tankor, good looking in both modes and the moving eye is pretty cool.

    The Bad:
Thrust, he looks jumbled together in his bot mode and his heads way too high.

    The Ugly:
Silverbolt, one bird that should have been euthanized.

    Cybertron

    The Good:
Menasor, the world needs more ugly robots, and drill hands too

    The Bad:
Supreme Starscream, 50 bucks for a gigantic minicon transformation? Please!

    The Ugly:
Runamuck/Runabout, that mold is truly THE UGLY.

    Aw, hell... Animated.

    The good:
    Most things. Seriously.

    The bad:
Bumblebee. Pain in the ass to transform, sucky gimmicks, always stuck in poses that make me wonder...

    The ugly:
Jazz. Never have I disliked an Animated figure more than I dislike Jazz. Hell, I like Slutarachnia more than him.

    G1:

Good- G1 Prime. Though a lot are good, like Jazz and otehr cars.

Bad- Blaster. I don't like him at all.

Ugly- Everything post-movie save UM. Though Sharkticon takes the big prize.

    BW:

Good- A lot of the originals, mostly the basic beasts and Transmetals, hard to narrow it down.

    Bad- Blackarachnia.

Ugly- Most TM2's and the Bat/Ox dude. But if I had to choose one I'd say Jawbreaker.

    Movie:

Good- Bonecrusher. Gotta love the guy.

Bad- Starscream. I do like the figure, but he's not very faithful to the on-screen Starscream at all.

    Ugly- Swindle. W. T. F.

    Animated:

Good- Pretty much everybody, but I like Lugnut the most.

Bad- Easily Voyager Megs. Only really bad fig in the whole line.

Ugly- Blitzwing's thighs and arms. I can't condem a whole figure like this, but I feel his legs and arms could've been done better. (especially if his legs were done like Starscream)

    G1

    - Good - Predaking. Impressive individual figures and the best combiner all-around.
    - Bad - Quickswitch. That many modes just doesn't work in a figure this small. Unlike Sixshot, ended up with forms that were in the "it's a [vehicle] because we say so" category.
    - Ugly - The (thankfully) unproduced Unicron prototype.

    BW

    - Good - Most of the Transmetals but the best of those would be a tie between TM Waspinator and TM Terrorsaur.
    - Bad - Most TM2 figures, with Prowl and Scourge being the worst of those.
    - Ugly - Mutants. All of them had at least one mode that was a complete mess and the other only passable.

    BM

    - Good - Deluxe Jetstorm. Just a fun, versatile toy.
    - Bad - Leader/Ultra/whatever-the-size-class-was-called-then Nightscream.
    - Ugly - Silverbolt. There's really no excuse for this one. Tiny, alt mode doesn't even try to look like anything and the weapon just seems to be a case of "we don't know what to do with the wings, so we'll just make the whole thing a weapon".

    R.i.D.

    - Good - Omega Prime. Bad-ass dual combiner. I'd love to see something like this attempted again in the future.
    - Bad - Combaticon redecos. Good in their time, but G1 combiners just don't stand up when released side-by-side with modern toys.
    - Ugly - Bruticus (that weird...dog...thing, not the combiner). What the hell were they smoking when they designed this thing? It doesn't look like anything in any mode; like someone rummaged around in the 'spare TF pieces' box and glued some random parts together.

    Universe 1.0

    - Good - Razorclaw. A great mold to begin with, now in a colour scheme that surpasses the original deco.
    - Bad - Ramulus. I like this mold, but that was a weird colour scheme.
    - Ugly - Silverbolt. Tolerable mold, absolutely bizarre deco.

    Armada

    - Good -Unicron, easily.
    - Bad - Scavenger. Nice try on the gimmick, but it took away too much from the figure.
    - Ugly - Built to Rule building block sets. Can't really transform, don't stand up and don't look even close to the characters they were supposed to be.

    Energon

    - Good - Dreadwing. Solid mode with an impressive deco. Hyper mode is a little weak, but otherwise outstanding.
    - Bad - Grimlock and Swoop. Nice try, but needed a few more runs through engineering.
    - Ugly - Slugslinger. Most unstable toy ever. Virtually nothing stays pegged together in any mode.

    Cybertron

    - Good - Cybertron Defense team in general.
    - Bad - Lugnutz. Nice motorbike, but the robot mode was a mess.
    - Ugly - Skywarp. The Thundercracker mold already had problems, but the engineering problems seemed to get worse with this release.

    Movie 2007

    - Good - Tie between Leader Prime and Leader Brawl.
    - Bad - Leader Megatron, original deco. Neither Megatron mold is great, but the price and appearance of this one put it below the Voyager in terms of quality.
    - Ugly - Payload. Pieces coming off during transformation and a huge stick jutting out of the figure's back.

    6" Titaniums

    - Good - War Within Seeker mold. Looked good and no engineering problems.
    - Bad - Soundwave. Odd-looking robot mode and pieces coming off during transformation but Laserbeak was neat.
    - Ugly - Earth Mode Megatron. Looked OK, but virtually everything falls off at the slightest movement of air.

    Alternators

    - Good - Rodimus. Nice vehicle mode and really captured the character in both forms.
    - Bad - Skids. Pain in the ass to transform, crappy vehicle mode and unimpressive robot form.
    - Ugly - Wheeljack. Same problems as Skids with the added bonus of parts coming off during transformation.

Really? He's, like, my favorite figure of the line, and my favorite Jazz ever! Weird! But it's all good, different bots for different folks. :)

As for me, sure, I'll play. How's about..... Alternators/Binaltech:

Ze Good: Red Meister. Byoootiful figure, made even better after a headswap with BTA Alert for a poor man's Cliffjumper.

Ze Bad: Rumble. Can't support his own weight on those little ankles, has dangly piledrivers (yikes, sounds filthy), and lacks the complexity of his line-mates.

Ze Ugly: Battle Ravage.* Sure, slap a cat head on Tracks, and he's Ravage! Why not? He's definitely not some... creepy Furrybot... no....

*To be fair, the awesomeness of Jaguar Ravage completely makes up for this.

Lets see... not too many people have already done....

    Generation 2

The good: Laser Optimus Prime, Dreadwing - Gen 2 pioneered all the good stuff we now take for granted in Beast Wars and beyond, and these two are nifty balances of articulation, gimmicks, and bad-ass looks.

The bad: G2 powermasters - OK, they didn't actually come to my country, and I'm thankful for that.

The Ugly: G2 repaints of Gen 1 toys, especially of combiners. You didn't need those retinas anymore, did you? :)

    Energon:

    Good: Omega Supreme

Bad: Arcee, too small to be any good

Ugly: Fatimus Prime, chicken legs, mouth, zero posability, voted most likely to fall in love with a short bus.

    BW Neo

The good; Mach Kick. Quite a few of BWN moulds are one and only, no repaints or remoulds. Mach Kick takes the cake among them, with the engineering and the hair.

The bad; Randy. Not his fault, but GPS is baaaad :mad

The ugly; Rartrata. He just is.
