It seems like Gobot auctions are going for a little more recently than they used to, but the prices still pale in comparison to TFs. I liked the super sturdy construction of the Gobots, especially the Super Gobots, but their simplicity just didn't hold a candle to the TF's details, in my opinion. I had a couple handfuls of Gobots as a kid, and I do remember the cartoon, but, I don't remember it sucking quite so hard as many people seem to think it does, of course, I haven't seen an episode since I was 7 years old.
I just picked up a complete Puzzler today at a flea market. A little tighter than my current ones so those will be going to ebay.
Anyone have any idea what a Night Fright series 3 deluxe sells for? I've never seen one on ebay, and I know it is the rarest of the series. I have a nice one, and there is a lot of other stuff I would rather have.
Those are pretty neat. Look like a blast to paint. Craving some McDonalds now thanks! Also like the pilots (minus the heads, agh!) Some new Battle Hackers would rule since those are probably impossible to find.
Most are surprisingly common, with two or three exceptions (Gattaisaurer, and the last two Wheelman toys).
Now I know these guys stick in the memory as being kind of sucky but lately I re-discovered the little fellas and have to say I was kind of wrong Rock lords just plain rule and the gobots were about a 50/50 hit or miss kind of toy You've got to love the simplicity of figures such as Leader 1, Scooter, turbo, path finder, small foot, hans cuff, rest-q etc and the down right rarity of some series 3 figs such as the orange gunny-r and sky-jack. Sure they were delicate and prone to going all limp but I think they were little bundles of japanese charm!!! Any other secret gobot lovers out there????
hey, gobots are actually pretty cool, i've been looking into getting some of the ones i don't have myself. plus, puzzler has more articulation then menasor.
Gobots and Rock Lords FTW Monstrous http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Gobots/GobotsMonstrous2.jpg Puzzler http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Gobots/Puzzler.jpg
Tork was my favorite toy as a kid. Puzzler was pretty awesome too. Most of my toys were Gobots (or machine robos, or whichever... most of them were bought in England) growing up.
MR Rescue transports & Fossilsaurus Machine Robo Change & Glow & Winner Robo items Rock Lords I've got more, just haven't found the room to display them yet!
Nobody loves rock lords or Go Bots. Some people think they like them, but are just sick and need help.
WOOT! Theres some rare gear there, those transports look in superb condition and the fossilsaurus is RARE as heck!!!! Nice collection, very nice!!! Whats the tombstone with the red arms and chest ???
All my gobots are packed away right now. I've got a dozen carded ones and alot of the more milaitary themed ones loose. The standard sized gobots kick butt, they even rule of modern lines like LOC.
Sad thing is there will never be any kind of revival as hasbro now owns the trademarks in the USA and UK after buying tonka..............cries
