    Not a trick at all.

Dissemble the joint, then you just use a thin layer of superglue on the ball joint and/or socket. Let it dry completely then reassemble. That thin layer of material the dried glue provides tightens up the joint.

This can be used on different types of joint as well.

^The key word there is "completely". I'd wait at least 24 hours after dissassembling and then gluing the joint before popping the ball joint back in.

As Mr Wallace says, it can be used on other joints, like those t-shaped thigh swivels you see sometimes (like on Universe Ratchet/Ironhide, for example).

^ exactly... for example I used this trick to mod the Divebomb wings to use the heavy CD ones: the result is perfect :D  Now the joints are tight enough to take the weight of these wings without hard modding them :)

This is the trick of the tricks for me :D  Always usefull ^__^

I've haven't used this trick but I hear clear nail polish works as well. Might be safer for the first try.

Nail polish doesn't bind very well to the plastic; it can flake away. This may be with just some plastics i.e. RotF Grindor's, or in only some situations i.e. on a peg.
