If this should be in general, then please move it.

With the new pics of the Ghost Starscream, I was looking into the Generations 2009 volumes and was curious what each contained (ie, what is the difference between Vol1 and Vol2, or is it a continuation?). Are there more volumes to come? I saw the thread with the interview, but couldn't find what else was in the books and how they were different.

Also, for a non-japanese reader, are the pictures enough?

Obviously it is best if you can read the accompanying text. I'm asking if the pictures are self-explanatory in most cases and if it could function as a neat desk picture guide (text to picture ratio, quality of pics, etc). Also, what content is in each volume.

From what i understand. they are breaking up Generations in volumes. you know this already.

Vol.1 already came out with the exclusive electro disrupter henkei mirage. This Vol. 1 covers present day TFs. Disney Label, Master piece, and Henkei. There is a little TF catalog history as well as sketches of designs for some of the early diaclone concepts.

Now the following volumes will go back in time. peeling back each layer of TF toys. so i assume next will be older BTs, music label, movie toys, and other toy lines. and then they will fill it with more sketches and filler material liek catalogs or something to that nature.

I have vol.1 and it shows many of the recent release toys from Henkei, MP Grimlock, Alternity Prime, some scans of original G1 catalogs that used to be included with transformers. There is not much art, it is just pics of the toys in various modes and angles. All the text is in Japanese. I like the book and keep it at work just to flip through when I have a little down time.
