IMG_1993.JPG IMG_1996.JPG IMG_1998.JPG IMG_1999.JPG I haven't posted much recently, so while I had these big bots out I took some pics. I almost exclusively collect sealed g1 these days but made the decision that if the box doesn't have a window, then I don't want it sealed. I at least need to have the ability to see the figure. I recently upgraded my Fort Max to this one which is probably the nicest I've owned. It even has all the foam pieces:) . The Metroplex is completely unused with all sealed accessories and a nice glossy box too. The only exception is the small tear in the upper right corner. Trypticon is complete(even have that hard to find cardbord spacer)and minty but needs a serious box upgrade. I'm feeling very at peace with my decision to go mib with these big windowless box figures. Id like to have them all in unused condition eventually!

Interesting. Where do you get the upper limbs for the Rescue Force version of Liokaiser?

I beginning to feel that that is a totally right decision! No sealing if there is no window.

My brother always make fun of me. How would I know if there is a Transformers/Metroplex in it?

There was a guy on eBay that had a few of these for sale at one point... they weren't painted, seemed like he had cast them, and provided cast weapons, head and the stickers... they were more expensive than I want to admit, but knowing I got the original 4 for around $30, I think I spent around $120 or so on the pair.

How much does a Platinum Edition mint in Box Trypticon usually go for? Been looking to get original G1 Toy for ages, but there is one of the Paltinum Editions on Ebay that ends in like 2 hours and it's only at £30.00. What is the going rate for this guy as looking to bid about £50.00 for it at the last minute.

Most of the places I've seen online are asking $150 or more for him.

Just thinking here guys in regards to @Chefdova's post earlier and I know that is might have been mentioned before as I can't remember who has brought up originally (so don't beat me up into a messy pulp if I bring this up again and de-railing the initial thread).

I know that TT/Hasbro has been churning stuff like for us that need our robot fixes (and making a lot of $$$ in the process), and shipping it in eco-friendly ways in regards to environmental reasons and whatnot, Encore #23 Fort Max was last G1 inspired re-release in packed on a Stryofoam like coffin and the Platinum Edition of Trypticon was in a packaged in a cardboard box. Is TT making the final say in which products that are to be released and to be re-issued in homage to the G1 days (or is input from us collectors and or what the market dictates)?

    Any inputs are welcomed..

Any time ;)  Btw , Those molded bots and bits look amazing ! Who ever cast them knew exactly what they were doing .... The sheen on the plastic sells me .... There are several things I would love to have cast and redone as new or other characters ...I`ve been wanting a retooled BW TRIPREDACUS for years .... I want to retool Ramhorn / MOTORARM into a different type of beetle , Retool the faces of all of them btw , retool SEACLAMP/GIMLET into a Scorpion , and some how retool CICADACON / DJ into a spider ...oR rAMHORN INTO A SPIDER AND Cicadacon in to a house fly or some thing of that nature .....I think BW Magnaboss would be awesome to have Ironhide retooled in to a Mastadon / Mammoth , Prowl in to a Sabertooth tiger and Silverbolt basically touched up , may be a new head ..made to look like a Thunder bird ....

He's a stunner, as is his Decepticon equivalent...

I do feel like a broken record, but how much would you love a Generations update of this guy. He's such a brilliant design. I'd even happily settle for a TR Hardhead repaint (with new head, of course).

I only have the machine wars versions of those figures. but WOW are those awesome molds. I also really love the Starscream and Prime toys too. fantastic figures. I am aware that they are machine wars figures, but, I put them with my g1's anyways. because they are a perfect fit.

and so are the g2 figures. In an era of mostly beasts, with tons of articulation; they still standed out as some of my favorite figures of that 90's decade.
