    It had these game titles:

-Need For Speed Pro Street (The New One)
-SmackDown Vs. Raw 2007 and 2008
-Transformers the Game (all three games. even that japanese one.)
    -Jak 1, 2, 3 and X (best. PS2. game. EVER!)
and, WWF No Mercy (for a N64 game, it was teh awesomes.)

Anyone got anything else that could've made the Nintento GameCube a little better?

    3rd party support.

    OH SNAP.

Although wishing for Sony first party games and games that hit in the past year is kinda like hoping that tomorrow you're gonna poop gold.

It could happen. If you ate a lot of gold first.

As for my thoughts. The GameCube itself was just fine. The library of games might have been better if people hadn't bought into the Sony hype machine so completely, same as what might have given the Dreamcast a chance. It wouldn't have hurt for Nintendo to have been ready sooner with both the console and their heavy-hitter game titles either.

It wasn't a cute purple lunchpail. People are idiots, and to this day a huge number of gamers believe that the 'Cube was a toy, the least powerful of the 3 systems (which, I must say, makes the Wii's success all the richer).

I never understood that, seeing as you could tell the graphics were better than PS2 just by, I dunno, looking at them? That and it came in a solid black version for anyone who's allergic to color.

I don't know....sequels to sure fire hits would've been good. They could've churned out 2 Smash Bros. games during the GC's lifecycle. Same for Mario Kart, Mario, Zelda, and all other great Nintendo franchises. Of course, third party support that was already mentioned would've been nice too.

    So wait. Let's put:
    Games that arent out yet
    Games that are console exclusives
    N64 games
And Japanese only crappy PS2 games on the GC. :rolleyes2

I nearly cried when my Gamecube died during a power outage a while ago. I loved the little lunchbox...

Herracy! The GameCube was just about perfect.

A very small number of people would *actually* enjoy that game.

My wife bought me my GCN the Christmas it came out. She got a black one, so it would match the rest of the electronics, but I was kind of hoping for a purple one, just in defiance of conventional wisdom.

How about, GameCube would've been better if....
-3rd parties made some fucking games for it
-3rd parties that made games for it actually took time to make the game good
-3rd parties made EXCLUSIVE games that people WANT to play. And this means keeping a game exclusive such as the back stab that was Resident Evil 4.

You also have to add this.

    Actually backed Online Abilitys.
Did not have stupid Gimmicks for Games like using a GBA for a Controller, or to unlock stuff.

Well it's not exactly hype if it actually delivered. Which it did. In spades.

The biggest factor? No EA churning out sports titles.

I'm talking about the initial hype over the hardware. The area where Sony's promises fell totally flat. There weren't many good games at that point either. And of course, if people hadn't been so convinced that the PS2 was going to be the most powerful thing ever (or hadn't been looking for a cheap DVD player) the PS2 wouldn't have had all the exclusive games later on.

Nothing, I love my Gamecube, I use it more than the wii, if only because the Wii continuously deletes my gamecube save files off the memory cards.

Never had the problem with Gamecube.

(Have to say, after finishing and having to restart Smash Bros for the 17th time, I got pretty pissed off. Every time I loaded up a gamecube game on the Wii, I got "The save file is corrupted, please make a new save file" Stupid thing)

    1. Mario Kart would still beat it.
    2. Are wrestling games still even popular?
    3. Why make a new game for an 'obselete' console, and i'm guessing it couldnt handle the Armada game.
    4. I've never had any desire to play the Jak games, so I cant comment on them.
    5. Its probably on the Wii's virtual console by now if it was any good, just buy it there.
