I read that John Welbourne wants to be reinstated. So, he could be back on the o-line in 6 weeks after he serves his suspension. After these first two games, the Chiefs have a manageable schedule, it's just that I worry about Trent Green's protection and ability to stay healthy this season.
Two AFC teams in the SB? My Team: Atlanta Falcons Prediction: 10-6 Most Over rated team: Carolina Panthers SB: INDY vs Seattle Seattle has a LOCK to have homefield advantage in the playoffs being that they are in a High School level division.
Uh, that Super Bowl is impossible. Or did I miss a joke or something. Edit: Thundercracker beat me to it.
My team: The Browns. Record: Hmm. 8-8 is definitely doable, and I'd be happy with that. Nice steady improvement over years past. Only problems are keeping the line healthy... we've already gone trough 6 or 7 centers and the regular season hasn't even begun! If they stay healthy and protect Charlie Frye and open up some holes for Reuben... could be a good year.
Bears fan since '84. Because Payton was Jesus, McMahon was the shit, Dent was a Monster, and the Fridge was, well, the Fridge. They don't make teams like that anymore. I liked the Cowboys alright up until '89 and the Era of Jones. I was always more of an Oilers/Moon fan. That carried over when they became the Titans, and particularly now with Vince Young. I'm too old to just up and start rooting for some expansion team plonked into a Texas city, because "they're regional and I'm supposed to." Doesn't help that they are redefining suck with every season.
That's like me and the Raiders... I always have to explain why I'm a Niners fan and an A's fan instead of Niners/Giants or Raiders/A's... As far as I'm concerned the Raiders were in LA when I grew up here in the Bay Area and we've been taught to dislike everything from LA...
Bah. Season doesn't start until the Bears/Packers game at 3pm Sunday. That and all my focus right now is on Ohio State at Texas Saturday.
