Figured PC players might want a thread of our own too. Unlike the console ones though we really don't have to share our details and accounts. FoC is a Steam game, so all you really have to do is join the TFW2005 steam group and jump into the group chat/post on the group page and check out what everyone is playing. These guys typically play Team Fortress 2, but when FoC is out, I'm sure you'll want to team up with them for some escalation and multiplayer. You can also send friend invites to the people you know through the forums if you so desire.

Here's the group page. You can search it on steam's client or you can log in through your browser to join the group.

I'm just wondering if FOC will get mods, new maps (Made by players), and so on.
I'm going to be getting it on pc as well either way... I'm just curious if this will be possible since it's the unreal engine and it's not a port.

    Oh, and Team Fortress FTW.

nope. you can't mod a console game like you can a PC game. i'm not entirely sure how the whole modding thing works but all i know is that it's not possible (or at least it shouldn't be) on console. i'm sure Tiller can explain it better than i can

anyways, i'll probably get it on Steam sometime later on this year. i'm already in the group and am friends with some of the guys that play TF2. feel free to add me (ID in my sig)

Yes, I know. I have the PC version. Are there any custom maps for the PC version?

Cool, will do man. I'll check this out when I get home today.

I got a private ventrilo server as well I wouldn't mind sharing if people were down for running some MP. I think we got a crew of about 5-6 that will be playing, but the more the merrier.

Will also be checking this out as well as I am getting it both on PS3 and PC. It really would be nice if they open up the files for custom content.

PS: I am mesmerized by CrackaJ's Bot Shot sig.

Mods and custom maps might be possible if Fall of Cybertron is designed to allow it (who knows, maybe it will be fully compatible with the Unreal Editor).

Anyways, I really want an ingame chat.

    PC player here.

I haven't looked into the Steam offer for FoC yet, but will it be possible to purchase the game without pre-ordering? As in the day of release?

Well they got a lot of things right with the port. 60 frames, better textures, vsync, and most menus are fine.

But no remappable keys is disguising. The upgrade menu for weapons is awful since you can't just navigate it with a controller, you need the keyboard's help. Also my preorder weapons don't work. They just list that I should buy them as DLC....when there isn't any for it.

So far its a serviceable port, but the game's console is still showing.

Even though I play with a Xbox 360 controller for PC, I still find it odd that they did not allow mappable keyboard controls. It's really a shame when devs do this, it really limits options when there is no need to.
