Hey guys, just thought you might enjoy this. I found this Aschan Preview copy of TF: Stormbringer at the local comic shop today. Thought it was interesting since it has the first 11 pages of the comic instead of the first 5 page shown in the FCBD comic. Hopefully this is not old news. Sorry about the crappy scanned pictures, my scanner sucks. Enjoy.

    By the way.

I find it rather amusing that IDW's big marketing push on this book is "NO HUMANS!" ... In a sense you're knocking your own main line title.

But what version of Optimus Prime is that?

So the story Arc revolves around THunderWing?

So far, from the story, I gather this:

It takes place at the same time as Infiltration. The Transformers have abandoned Cybertron because of some catastrophic event. Thunderwing was the only one aware of this upcoming event and tried to warn the others about it, but no one listened to him.

So what happens now is you have Jetfire + Technobots checking out this energy spike on Cybertron, and Optimus Prime being informed about what's happening on Earth, and all reminiscing to some event that was the turning point in Cybertron's destruction.

I find it absolutely hilarious! I love IDW eating crow in public like this. They never should have featured humans as prominently as they do in Infiltration. I see them owning up to their mistake, and respect them for that.

Dang it, that's it! That storyline got me hooked already!

Reminds me of the Fallen and Sunstorm sagas in a way, awesome! A MUST buy!

Quite an intriguing mystery we have here. As much as I enjoy Infiltration, I'm going to absolutely love this book.

Looks good. Hopefully this isn't going to be WWII: The Dark Ages take 2. So far, Inflitration has been an okay read... if not a little stagnet and I'm glade to see that Variety (that annoying little b***) won't be in this book with her Moulder and Spike rip off buddies. NO HUMANS! Not that I don't like human characters, but they never should have been as prominent as they are. Not to mention it doesn't help that I liked Kicker's characterization leagues more. :D  AND I HATE KICKER! :D

Still, Stormbringer looks like an apology from IDW even if the letter response pages haven't been. Hopefully it ends better than Furmon and Don's other mini... eck... BWs good read, but too damned full and too damned rushed.

I bet Simon Furman is the highest paid member of IDW's payroll.

Not because he's awesome, but because he is writing all but one of the Transformers comics announced or hinted at in the next six months.

So I hope you're all Simon Furman fans, because other than the guy writing Hearts of Steel and a Bob Budiansky moment in October, it's all Furman on every book.

looks amazing. I feel like Simon writes much better in 4 parts than in 6 for some reason ~ BW and now the first 1/2 of this issue just feel 'tighter' for some reason.

(Maybe because i feel like 4.5 <--counting #0-- issues into Infiltration almost nothing has happened)

The art in this makes me really wish that they had gone with Don for Infiltration as well. Seeing this suddenly makes the art Infiltration pale in comparison.

Bull. They're acknowledging different parts of the audience like different things, and being direct with the marketing.

It doesn't cost them anything to say in an interview that it's in response to a vocal group of fans, but Stormbringer's been planned as a summer event since at least September last year, before the main series started.

I'm loving everything main continuity, personally. Beast Wars wasn't bad, Hearts of Steel seems at least worth checking out, and Generations may do something worthwhile after it's finished running through early US strips...
