RID Sideburn

 

The figure that started my interest in collecting was the first I owned as a child. G1 Sideswipe. The one the resparked my interest was the RID line in 2001. First was Optimus Prime then Ultramagnus, then Omega Prime. Never really was into all the figures from RID but that's where it all got going again.

 

Classics Bumblebee, he was where it all started, I had purchased Classics Jetfire before him but in the course of checking out bumblebee I found youtubers peaugh and Vangelus and soon I was buying em like hot cakes.

I started back with wave one of Beast Wars.

Since the Beast Era ended, I just became a selective person and only get what I really like. Sometimes it might be all like with Animated (Before Botcon) and other times it might be five like with Armada.

 

God Ginrai is the figure that get me going

 

It was 2003 not 2000.

Some Armada crap probably and then soem TFC reissues, first one was Inferno.

 

Not counting the G1 days, Classics Bumblebee.

 

The one that got me back into Transformers as an adult was Alt Shockblast - for years I'd seen the A/E/C trilogy figures and hated the look of them and then I saw Shockwave as a sexy purple car and had to get him.

 

I stopped collecting sometime after the Armada anime ended in America.

I sortakinda started up again around 2009, after I started collecting other action figure lines (Revoltech and Gunpla). I wanted to see how much the brand changed, and heard a lot of praise from modern TF's, so I picked up the voyager Prime and Elite Guard BB. I liked them, but they didn't make me a ravid collector.

That Christmas, someone got me Scout Class Rancask on a whim, and for some reason, that impressed me more than the two Animated figures. I was hooked on Transformers again.

 

The first Transformers toy I ever got was a g1 Bumblebee when I was 5, so that's what started the whole thing. As far as what got me back into it around when I was 19, I think it was a Transmetals Cheetor. Still a great toy

 

As a kid my first one was G1 Prowl and I became obsessed.

What got me back into collecting was the RiD Car Brothers. I still find those three toys to be phenominal, even better than a lot of TFs released in the last couple years.

 

G1 Insecticon Shrapnel was my first Transformer in 1985 or so, but after buying G1 Grapple a few months later, I've been hooked ever since!

 

Animated two pack Optimus Prime and Megatron

 

Cybertron Hot Shot. Not the first but the one that had me hooked. That figure is still one of my all time favs.

 

Starscream. First G1 toy as a kid and it was revoltech starscream that got me back into buying TFs as an adult. Now I got 7 

 

My first's were FAB Ironhide and Legends Barricade. I was introduced by the movie and soon got into other continuities.
