    i like him because he offers (skilled) writers such a challenge.
    Wolvie, and 98 percent of the other X-men are archetypes and have stigmas, but I have seen Nightcrawler as a fresh imagining of a hero.
    Comic heroes have warrior codes, ethics, troubled pasts, lovers, affairs...etc. But he has spirituality that is genuiine.
    he has faith in something. but without preaching, he lives that life of spirituality; and still he has room in his life to be almost childish in his innocence, being able to play as he battles evil.

    on the christian thing, all i can say is that it is nice to see a positive reflection that doesn't apologize for it being there.
    (coming from a non-practicing christian seems hypocritical, but i am all about equal representation.)

    i think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who loathes everything about the character.
