Nightcrawler is definitely a fan favorite. Though he has kinda lost his importance as a major x-character in the last several years. I blame Chuck Austen for that horrible demon father back story he gave them.

I like Nightcrawler because it's nice to see someone who is a Christian portrayed in a positive light. That's a pretty rare thing in comics or movies.

He was portrayed pretty awesomely in the last ep of "Wolverine and the x-men." The one with the smuggler ships.

Been a big fan of the character for years now. Always my favorite of the All-New, All-Different X-Men. He may not be doing anything really cool in the comics now, but he's really awesome in the new cartoon.

My favorite era of Nightcrawler was during Excalibur. As he grew from being just the swashbuckler to a leader. The the inevitable disappointment when they folded him back into the X-Men and he immediately became subservient again.

I never got the point of folding the Excalibur cast back into the X-Men. Obviously, it's a bit much to expect some form of foresight and planning on this era of the X-Men books, but it always seemed like a big waste Nightcrawler, Kitty, and Colossus.

I actually really liked Nightcrawler from the X-Men movie, the bit where he goes "...but some call me Nightcrawler from so-and-so famous circus blah blah", that was so funny and cute.

The blue elf was always a favorite of mine, largely because he had such an interesting personality. Despite his difficult past, he might have had the best "heart" of all the X-Men. Though I like the dark characters as much as the next guy, Nightcrawler is, along with guys like Captain America, one of the genuinely "good" superheroes that I really like. I dig the wacky limited series, his time in Excalibur, his role in the pilot for the Sunbow X-Men cartoon, and his time in the X-Men comic during the 80s. Honestly, I haven't paid much attention past the early 90s, though.

This is one of my very favorite toys that I own.

    QFT

As a Christian I relate to Kurt a lot. I also love Kurt for his swashbuckling style, leadership abilities, being cool with the fact that he's a mutant, and the odd-couple buddy friendship he has with Wolverine. And his teleporting is very cool. I really like how they did the effect in the latest Wolvie & the X-Men ep.

Chuck Austen should never be allowed to touch Nightcrawler again, not even with a ten foot pole. Come to think of it, Joe Casey was pretty awful too.

What did Chuck Austen do? I haven't really read anything X related since Morrison's run on New X-Men

It was around New X-men's run. Austen made Kurt the son of a demon and Mystique. Also, he gave Angel healing blood.

He's my favorite X-man for sure. I remember him most from Excalibur and the 90s X-men cartoon. Liked him in X2 also. Issues of him fighting with three swords were favorites.

Nightcrawler, Colossus, Wolverine. The best X-Men trio ever.
