I can't quite decide whether post-revival Family Guy is actually worse then it used to be or whether it was always the same and its not as funny now because the schtick is wearing thin. Anyone got any thoughts?
Watching the first 3 seasons on Teletoon late night, from my perspective FG season 4 and 5 are exactly the same quality as seasons 1-3. So it very well might be that as you put it "the schtick is wearing thin/ In regards to funny Family Guy moments Stewie Griffin beats up Brian Peter beats up Chris' bully Griffin family drinks syrup of epicat
1 in every 3 eps has 10 minutes of funny. 12 minutes of stupid. 6 minutes of quagmire being a pedifile.and 2 minutes of meg.
At first I thought that season 4 and 5 had dropped in quality, but perhaps not. Either way I don't watch anymore as it's not very efficient in terms of laughs per episode. Normally this would be ok, but with the total lack of a decent plot, characters and animation it just ain't enough to keep me watching.
The first couple seasons were great. When it came back after being canned.... It just really dropped in quality. Watching now almost seems like a chore (ala Simpsons a few seasons ago).
