i hate to say it, but this is so far the best bit of official information about rotf we've gotten so far in terms of what the fallen may be
Although I've not done a side-by-side, the general layout upon quick inspection looks to me like Devestator TF1 head - not colors, just eye angle and spacing. It would make sense to me that if Devestator is in TF2, that it would have the G1 name of Devestator. As that was an on-screen name already, The TF1 bot would need to come back, beit in a rebuilt or newly created manner. If this were true, then perhaps, perhaps this was teased by Lennox saying 'that thing's definitely dead now', and he wasn't - they couldn't keep him down. Perhaps Barricade held specific skills for creating combining bots, and collected parts of Bonecrusher and Devestator, with the plan of making a bigger bot later. I just enjoy flights of fancy - I didn't get much sleep last night.
My money is either on a faceplate of some kind or a set of double doors to some ancient cybertronian chamber.
its not doors, its exactly what the decepticon eyes looked like in the first film, take a look at a close up of barricade or brawl. it's definitely not brawl though, here's a side by side, no match -
Nah, back in July Furman/IDW confirmed the Fallen was the villain and that he was based upon the Fallen seen in The War Within: The Dark Ages. Both interviews were soon edited to remove all references to the Fallen.
I think we can say with 95% sureness or more that those eyes are those of The Fallen. For people saying it could just be nothing...c'mon?! Yeah it's the centerpiece of the ROTF packaging and the background on the prequel comic but means nothing at all...
yep absolutely it seems pretty obvious, we have a nice picture of half of the fallen's face. bring on the fan art..
but when they retracted it, it kind of took away the oficcialness of it this is so far the best real thing we've gotten
Looking again, I still say the best bet is the white "glowing" spots on either side being eyes. That way that center designis either a nose or a faceplate, maybe a grill face to homage the Fallen's faceplate with the slits in it?
I'm still not seeing it even after seeing the pictures someone earlier in the thread put up. It just looks like box design to me. I can see where the idea comes from based on the comic book design but just not seeing it in the box design
i think the back of the inside of the box looks as if were in egypt. could it be that the fallen is hiding in egypt?
just beause its in th emiddle of the packaging doesnt mean that its the centerpiece, you can barely even notice it on the box. The design barley matches the image on the comics as well. Looks like a lot of wishful thinking that the "Tfw insider" picked up on and then "officially confirmed" after he saw the people on here making a big deal out of it
