Just Discovered (not taking credit): Quoted for posterity: A toy is named after a character in the title of the movie. I'm not saying that's "proof".... but let's get serious for a second. Thoughts?
I'm glad we can finnaly put this to rest. Although I said that when the movie poster came out and people still said not enough proof.
I wanted to find that thread by Bottom Out and say "in your face", although the Fallen as we can tell looks quite similar to Jetfire.
An interesting thing to note.... The Fallen toy looks oddly similar to the Jetfire toy (same "cock"pit, Headdress looks like it extends out to become the whiskers, same lanky arms).... and Jetfire is said to become an Autobot... Maybe the Fallen reformats into Jetfire, joins the Autobots, and takes revenge on the Decepticons for sending him to earth and locking him under a pyramid? And maybe he revives the dead Optimus and joins with him to detroy Devy? And maybe I'm reaching a bit?
He's awesome and extremely mean looking. Obviously the orange detailing will be flame-filled in the movie, I'd imagine he's gonna look amazing on screen. I'm glad we finally know now, just gotta wait for Bottom Up...
The Fallen becoming Jetfire?! It leaves me emotionless. Why don't they just make a Royal Rumble movie, an epic "all Autobots vs all Decepticons" like we've never seen before? I want, along with Devastator, to see also Superion, Defensor, Menasor (my favorite) and finally Unicron vs Omega Supreme. Concluding the film with the revelation of Primus himself (as creator of the Allspark).
Hmmm... 1) They're faaaaaar too similar to for that to be a coincidence 2) How else are the Autobots going to have a chance against Devastator without some serious back (Jetfire/Fallen) 3) Would make one hell of plot twist...if we didn't already (potentially) know it I fully expect the Autobots take a beating in this film but seriously otherwise it'd be - Autobots vs. Devastator + Megatron, Soundwave and their crew + Starscream and friends + The Fallen (I know he has no faction but yeah, they'd still have him to worry about) ...talk about outnumbered. I think there may something in The Fallen becomes Jetfire theory.
Hmmm...but for some reason I could imagine Bay and the writers talking about G1 & Jetfire/Skyfire lore and thinking "hmm, wouldn't this make one helluva twist the fans wouldn't get" ...because we all know how much they want to get one over us this time Plus with Starscream, Soundwave, Jetfire, The Fallen and maybe even others it'd make a fairly big jet/plane count...something I can't really imagine them having, they'd want to keep it more ground based attacking surely because unless the rumours of Springer are true the movie Autobots don't seem to have much of an aerial attack... ...Who knows, maybe I am way off but it's fun guessing and wondering if Bay and co aren't reading this and worrying they've been busted 5 months prior to the movie y'know?
Jetfire is found at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the Fallen is presumably lying in the pyramids. Not to mention their backstories are nothing alike; Jetfire is a Decepticon who tired of war, the Fallen inspired Megatron to become evil. There's nothing wrong with multiple antagonists.
Finally, this crap about the fallen being this and the fallen being that is done. I've stayed out of it until now: The Fallen is a real character. End of.
