I recently found out from Paramount DK, the Danish section of Paramount Pictures, that the official Danish movie title is "Transformers: De faldnes hævn".

According to the danish translation - the term "the fallen" is translated into plural Danish, as in: there are more than one fallen! This is confirmed on the official danish website for the movie as well!

Transformers: De faldnes hvn - Filmz

Transfomers : De Faldnes Hævn : Premiere 26.06.09

Thanks to my man Fighbird for this awesome piece of info! :)

Curious they used ''De'' instead of ''Det''. Well those falllens must been refer to Decepticons.

no, The Fallen is a character. he's not a Decepticon, And the empire article confirmed that he is in the movie.

Cranky because you named yourself after a character that you thought would be in the movie? Whoops!

We realize the Fallen is a character in the Transformers mythos. However, the fallen (in the plural sense) is referring to the group of decepticons that "fell" in the first movie.

This could be a mistake from the Danish side. There was a similar topic about this a while back in the movie forum about German titles and a couple of movies were given as examples in which the translators didn't get it 'quite right'.

Ya rumors like these have been flying around for a wile now but everything else we've heard has contradicted otherwise (the movie team, the TF2 insider) and that the "Fallen" does in fact refer to one character and is not a general reference to the Decepticons as a whole.

I'm thinking since Megatron absorbed the allspark, it somehow released the fallen and it possesed megatron's body, so, technically, whenever megatron appears it's actually the fallen.

Well, since the Germans translated the title the same way, isn't that enough to at least accept the chance that it's true? Some of you guys are so hardheaded sometimes...

Aren't we too far down the line with too much info to be having a thread like this?

    It seems kinda pointless.

I thought it was a given by now that it mean The Fallen and the fallen Decepticreeps?

...or am I missing something about this thread?

didnt the empire article also "confirm" that megatron wasnt in the movie.....the empire article didnt confirm anything

what prequel book are you refering to? I havent read defiance yet but ive read all the others and no mention of the fallen.....except soundwave does mention that the decepticons "fell" when they were on earth...

hmmm, oh i dont know....maybe just glowing red eyes.....generic evil image to promote movie....im curious why everyone is assuming thats the fallen in the first place...it looks just like soundwave

maybe megatron's just part of that dream sequence we heard about a while back. something to do with the allspark screwing with sam's head perhaps?

Then again. The Chinese translated the 1st movie calling the Autobots as "Carmen".
