There's something I've been wondering. Why is it that none of the Toy Story toys replicate the facial expressions? No really, even the Disney Collection ones mess this up. DC Buzz Lightyear, which repoes all the features, the flip-out wings with blinking lit-up tips, the voice chip and even the packaging fails to do this. In the movie, Buzz Lightyear toys have this angry frown by default. All the toys have him grinning or smiling. Woody in turn, in the movie, had this sort of blank, glassy-eyed smile - admittably, he looks a little creepy if you stare at him for too long, so it's kind of understandable, but still...
I've really got no idea what they were aiming for with that. Still, it gave the internet a bit of fresh material to work with!
...that alternate face may have contributed a little to my decision to pick up the Revoltech Woody...
I can understand the whole "appeal to the kids" thing, but I wish at least the DC ones used the "movie" faces.
