Yes. Megan said, "F****** do something!" When I heard that, I was shocked. Kids are watching this movie. It doesn't matter is Sam was blown to pieces. The writers and hot head Michael Bay are just to damn greedy. First, they made Opitmus Prime into a good robot thug, second this. Couldn't she have said, "Damn it! Do something." That would've been a whole lot better for the audience, especially for the kids. I blame this screw up on the writers.

    *Ahem*

To quote our dear friend G1 Spike, in a cartoon some time ago,

"Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?!"

    No biggie.

Isn't it 3? granted there was one with like 30-40 and it retained a pg-13 rating.

And I think parents should exercise some guidance, Y'know, like the rating says.

Besides, you don't magically stop being a kid at 13 - all that 'young adult' bollox is just to make the spotty gits feel less akward. :D

No, but he was probably just pointing out something he had never noticed before. No big deal.

And yes, in that particular scene the captions and what she actually said matched. She did say it. I never noticed either until maybe the 3rd viewing.

Yes, kids are watching this movie. That may be why so many people are saying they didn't hear anything but noticed when the subtitles turned on. Meaning that they actively chose to underplay the fuck part of it. So all we hear is "...ing do something!"

Secondly, it was probably not in the script, so you can't blame the writers. Scenes like that, there is usually a lot of ad libbing. Megan Fox may have just said it on the day and, as Michael Bay is not a fan of doing multiple takes, had to use it. It then falls on the writer of the subtitles what to put down there. He could have written "Freaking do something!" but felt that "Fuck" was more honest to the moment.

It falls to parents how they want to raise their kids. My parents were very involved and active in my raising. They didn't put me in front of TV and expect me to grow up. They put things in context, and censored things they didn't think I would be ready for. Bad words? Sure I could hear them, but they made it clear I wasn't supposed to use them. They did make me close my eyes for the gory parts and sex scenes, as they thought the former would give me nightmares and I wasn't old enough to understand sex scenes.

For the most part, I agree.

But the reality is, kids already hear it- even say it- at school.

    uh-uh...

Oh, there is so much truth in that statement. Regardless, I do believe there is a level of responsibility on the part of filmmakers where they must take into account their audiences. Regardless, of whether or not children do hear the word in the real world, they should have erred on the side of caution and just edited it out.

Without a copy of the script we can't know if that is how the line was written, if it was an ad lib by Fox, if she got the line wrong, or if it was a change that Bay made from the script. Given that it's one rather forgettable line out of a film I doubt anyone on the production team even remembers how the line got in the movie.

While acting, she got into the scene and into the moment and said the line. And they kept it.

I believe it's as simple as that.

You would rather the movie show a human being being blown to pieces, than for someone to say a word.

    that is stupid.

No clue. I just recall reading something about it in an article about the mpaa.
