OK, so in the MP thread, we got sidetracked talking about encore vs mp stuff, so someone suggested a separate thread for encore.

I didn't see one, so here it is!!

Encore (along with MP) continues to be pretty much the most exciting line for old school G1 fans. The chance to pick up a mint condition re-issue of elusive vintage toys is just awesome! How many of us actually HAD Soundblaster as a kid? I didn't think so!!

And now we have a chance to own Fortress Maximus in all his factory sealed glory!! Well, those of us with disposable income that is...

It's a great sign that Takara has a lot of faith in the line, putting that monster out!

So what comes next? Wasn't there a confirmation of a yellow Devastator set?

I've read that some people feel Skorponok is a lock following FM's announcement.

My personal dream is all five Dinobots but supposedly the molds are either damaged or lost. But they said the same about Soundwave once upon a time.

I'd also love to see Computron but I have no idea if those molds are available either...

Wouldn't the main four Autobot headmasters from 1987 be cool too?

    Anyway....speculate away!!

ALL the Scramble City molds. Hell, do encores of the obscure shit like Battle Gaia and Guard City. And use this opportunity to release the unreleased G2 Combiners.

I didn't purchase the 1st release beause of the mouth, looks awful compare to the original. If this newly Devastator face is based on the cartoon, then I may find excuse to purchase it.

What? I had Encore Devastator and the G2 version preordered within hours of their announcements and I never heard of any problems with the mouth or a new head sculpt.

It's not a problem as in broken or bad mold or QC. More of a different taste in design. I prefer the G1 Devastator lip over the Encore:

I'd like to see an Encore Bluestreak that is actually blue.

Tcracker has mentioned the Dinobots as being in the pipeline in the MP Speculation thread, so I'm thinking those remain candidates for a release. IF Takara is going to ramp up the Encore line like they're doing the MP line, than I think the Dinobots are definitely candidates just like Fort Max (which turned into reality) and Scorponok/Black Zarak.

This would be great, be it directly from Takara or from eHobby. There are A LOT of Diaclone/Microchange/pre-Transformers decos that we've yet to see.

I'm still a bit stunned that Takara is bothering to do an "anime" version of Devastator, especially as a regular release. I can understand the appeal, but it seems like something that would've been a better idea to do the first time around, and then do a "toy accurate" version later on as an exclusive later (like what happened with the Galvatron reissues). It also got my hopes up that G2 stuff could be on the table, as well as random redecos of the larger reissues that we've yet to see (Battle Gaia, Guard City, Metrotitan, Greatshot, etc.), but now I have to reconfigure things.

    The molds are dead.

I would really like to see Encore Star Saber + Victory Leo and Dai Atlas as the original molds are quite good and I think it is unlikely they will get an updated toy soon.

Exactly. I hesistated to preorder the G2 version, but I have absolutely zero interest in a minor remold so soon after the regular reissue. It should've been "anime accurate" in the first place.

Says who? Unless something new came out regarding the Dinobot rumors that I missed, we simply don't know, but given the amount of buzz from people that know stuff, they've been mentioned for some time now.

Repaired, or replaced, tooling isn't unprecedented...although we don't know the exact extent of missing or damaged molding in the case of the dinobots.

After the Fort Max announcement I'm seriously hoping for a Trypticon rerelease.
Been wanting a mint one for forever.

A few months away from eHobby Grand Maximus announcement.

Scorponok and Black Zarak will also come.

    2013 = Headmasters, expect more.
