It's going to be the lead article in next month's Game Informer with the teaser trailer and a screenshot form the game tomorrow.

I feel bad in that i'm not excited for this. At all. :lol
Ho hum. Well, maybe if Zenimax is doing this, then perhaps Bethesda will be doing Fallout 4???

Yeah. They really shouldn't bother with an online game for this series. Its just not exciting. Singleplayer is where its at for these RPGs. They should just make a companion game to Skyrim if they want to release another Elder Scrolls so soon.

Agreed. I just can't get into the idea of an online Elder Scrolls game, I liked being able to explore by myself. And it says we'll be able to explore the whole of Tamriel?? Couldn't they have waited until another proper Elder Scrolls game to give us that? And if they have to put in online features, why not simple co-op?? That could work, kind of like Fable

I think it depends on how they do it. If they let you do a majority of the game solo, just there happen to be other people running around playing at the same time, then I'm all for it. But, if its more like WoW where you really need to guild up half way through, I'm not going to be as excited about the game. A bunch of guys that worked on DAoC are working on this, so I suspect it will turn out really well.

Maybe this explains the extra landmasses found in the Skyrim map? Maybe the game is going to be built over Skyrim?

If I could play Skyrim with a bunch of people I would be extremely happy.

This news instantly made my Must Buy list of games one entry larger. :D

Given that the best parts of the Elder Scrolls games are their mod potential... eh.

For now, I suspect they are waiting until the next generation systems hit before making the move. I can see this fitting well on the WiiU. The touchpad controller could become all the buttons any class could use.

EDIT: Nice, already can spot a Kagouti and a High Ordnator in those screen shots. I can't wait to return to Morrowind!

I'd be more excited if it looked like a MMO Elder Scrolls game, rather then WoW set in Tamriel. :(

    ....

    Fuck...

This is sounding incredibly standard MMO fare as opposed to incredibly awesome Skyrim game play.

IGN also reported classes being in the game, combined with a skill bar from this article... My excitement has deflated a lot.

I went from "OMG NOAW!" to "I cautiously want to know more".

Yeah this is starting down a dark path.

Well that's a lot of potential shot, buried and left for dead.

"Our RPG has unique levelling, combat and presentation out of the many RPGs released, how should we translate this to an online game?"

"I dunno lol, give it to the other guys and let em make a bog standard mmo?"

"Give this man a raise! Now where's the weed?"
