With the score now up on iTunes, I think it's a good time to open this thread for discussion. What did you guys think of DOTM's score as a whole? Better than ROTF? Worse?

Sound off in this thread about the DOTM score by Steve Jablonsky.

I think I will have to listen to it 517 times before I can judge, haha.

I signed up just to say it is amazing. Defiantly better than previous ones. Someone asked in the previous thread for trailer music, one of them is "Pusher - Prelude" (Edited to be more kickier in the trailer) and more recently "Machine Gun - Noisea" remix.

Just the usual credits and thank you's, another pic of Prime (actually the same pic as the cover), a pic of Shockwave, a pic of Bumblebee and a shot of the air force over water heading towards (I assume) Chicago.

Great score so far from what I've listened to (about 35%) a LOT more action music than the ROTF disc... not that that is inherently good or bad, just saying...

I haven't gotten it yet, but it damn well better be good. I'm planning on arranging one song from each movie for an orchestra and I want good music to do.

Shame we didn't get a really rousing rendition of wither 'Autobots' or 'Arrival to Earth' in DotM, although I haven't actually listened to the score yet (I did pick up on a few reprises of these themes during the movie itself).

It's amazing really, MUCH better than the ROTF one, ROTF had like one or two songs to repeat, but DOTM Score is full of win. My favorites so far are Sentinel and The World Needs you Now

"No Prisoners, Only Trophies" is probably the saddest song on the entire disc. Actually, sad is an understatement. Tragic and beautiful is more like it. I actually feel myself tearing up listening to it.

Interestingly, it appears that Jablonsky used the song "Dom and Maria" from Gears of War II as a base for this score piece. Here's the song, in case you want a listen:

    My Fave:
    1. Shockwave's Revenge
    2. Battle (The fight scene during this was insane)
    3. I'm just the messenger
    4. The World Needs You
    5. No Prisoners, only Trophies

Still deciding if I prefer these over T1 - Scorponok, that song is too good.

Physical, tangible copies? Not yet... Date TBA.

I have a masters degree in music, and I can honestly say I think this is the best score I have heard, easily top five.
No prisoners, only trophies makes me want to cry
I do agree with another poster that parts of It's our fight sound like Mind Heist (Inception trailer music)
I am shocked that Jablonsky hasn't done more movie scores

I'm loving this score, I think that it's Steve Jablonksky's best work.

The track No Prisoners, only Trophies sounds so emotional, I haven't seen the movie yet (going to see it at an IMAX on Saturday) but I know which scene this is. I'm gonna be hard pressed to keep back the tears.
