A dedicated thread for everything Diaclone.
Lurking with interest
Cool idea. It's fitting to have a thread dedicated to the toyline that helped birthed the brand in the first place.
First of all, thank you for starting this thread!
I know at least some of you have seen this pic before, but I thought it worth reposting, as I think it illustrates quite well how different play patterns would have been if Transformers had remained Diaclone. I'll see if I can take a couple of new pics later this week - work is a bit busy atm, so I might only get round to it over the weekend.
Thanks, I agree. I realize that there are threads scattered among these pages, esp. OG Maz' source articles. There used to be dedicated threads on this site that are no longer available nor archived anywhere that I could locate.
Also, pages with links to photobucket are now not available, including the Diaclone Genome Project.
Post 'em if you got 'em.
there's a Diaclone Reboot thread, everyone's welcomed
Takara-Tomy Diaclone Reboot
but yeah, there was an awesome Diaclone thread that seems to be lost during the migration T_T
Anyone have extra of the foot blocks for the diaclone men? I have a few of the little dudes, but they can't stand without them.
I'm actually surprised the diaclone drivers weren't included with the US releases, they'd have made great stand ins for spike and co
Zaptrap wanted to know if he and his friends are allowed to play here.
I'd guess choking hazard?
Is micro change allowed here?
Warudaros - Chest Piece unfortunately missing.
Dia-Attacker. The toy and the Revell model-kit version (contrary to what I've seen at least one reviewer say, the model kit is much too flimsy to be used as a toy, by the way).
I'm here for Powered Convoy.
As Maz has suggested we also post Microchange...
Don't forget to turn back the clocks!
MC-06 Watch Robo, gold version.
Hi, has anybody come across the Taiwan KO version of Binoculars Robot Scopeman?
How is the quality?
Anything pre-transformers welcomed and appreciated!!!
I'd love to see better quality pics of many Diaclone figures, especially the ones that had no G1 parallel (police car Sunstreaker, the other Triple Changer) or side-by-sides of Diaclone figures and their G1 counterparts. It really is intruiging how much G1 was a 'combiner toyline' from 2 distinct toylines "and the rest" (to quote Gilligan's Island), at least in 1984-85 as well as to see which figures weren't appropriated for G1 and to ponder why.
It might help to include in this a place for the loose ends pre-TF figures, like the Beetras (Deluxe Insecticons), Shockwave/Galactic Man/Shackwave, Mechabot-1 (Omega Supreme) and the (I forget the designation) Valkyrie (Skyfire). They can't really fit anywhere else.
This is one of my favorite items: an Italian Gig Trasformer Fairlady Z Racing Type, unused and MIB.
In most instances, Italian Gig Trasformer Autorobot (a.k.a. Autobot cars) figures were repacked Diaclone figures, but with the regular missiles replaced by the rather ugly 'bopper' missiles with rubber heads and with the Microman figure removed. This figure is a bit special because it seems to be a direct repackage with both the original Microman figure and the original missiles (still on sprue) included.
I have to say, back in 1985, and having the catalog, I absolutely lusted for a Smokescreen figure, but I never got one for my birthday or Christmas.
Until now, I didn't realise Blaster had a Diaclone (Microchange?) version.
(It isn't mentioned on the tfwiki either).
