It's £9.99 AN ISSUE (not a month) - there are two issues a month, hence the £19.98.
Anyone on subscription actually received issue 7 (Volume 8 - Wanted Galvatron)?
I saw it in the flesh in WH Smith (complete with target2006 reprint) but I've not received my subscription yet.
no not yet
I got mine through the other day Vol 7 'Wanted Galvatron' and Vol 8 'Hearts of Steel' (which was a surprise! It's HoS as well as Spotlight Galvatron, Optimus Prime and Mirage.
Oddly didn't receive the fixed version of volume 1 they were packing with volume 7 in newsagents. Have emailed about it.
Subscribers are getting the corrected issue #1 as a separate delivery, so don't worry about it. Hachette explained this on the Facebook page.
Still waiting on 7...
My 7 and 8 have just turned up ... and with a free mug, too
And I'm still waiting....
The annoying thing is, i could cancel my subscription, but then I'd be without volume 7 as that's not in shops any longer, and i wouldn't get my fixed volume 1.
I feel like they've got me a little over a barrel now.
I cancelled the sub. Much easier picking it up from WH Smith - though I'll likely only pick up the Marvel stuff and maybe some Dreamwave.
So Issue 8 (Volumn 39? IIRC) Hearst of Steel + Spolights is the current Issue, yeah? Does that mean that Issue 9 with 'Trial By Fire' and the HMs mini is due next week?
I'm not really sure why hearts of steel is considered G1. It's kind of an alternate reality story isn't it?
It may be that Hachette have either gotten lucky or have great communication with IDW, as Barber appears to be retconning it into the "main universe" Hasbro IDW integrated universe in the current Revolutionaries comic.
I've been trying to figure out the order of this stuff. 19 is perchance to dream and 76-77 US and 21 is RG1. I assume 20 will print 78-80 with a bunch of UK chapters. If RG1 goes to 24, and 25 is the leftover out of continuity stuff, what's in 26-28? If Dreamwave is starting at 29, with 30 and 31 being war within and Micromasters. Unless Transformers DW is before War within in the 26-28 section. Is Autocracy coming way down the line? I need to stop thinking about this.
Dreamwave isn't starting with #29 - it starts after RG1. "War Within" isn't the first Dreamwave volume.
That would likely make 33 the first IDW. Autocracy-Monstrosity would then come early on.
My main question is where will issue 80 take us to?
I THINK I recall Furman saying either on his blog or FB that issue #80 takes us to 2016, just before the rebranding of MTMTE and RID (Revolution etc).
That's what I hoped.
Volume 15 is War and Peace, (Second Dreamwave mini numbered 26 so Magnus' Mate was spot on) and volume 16 is Primacy. Primacy was 11 8 page chapters and the last chapter was 12 I think. Which, including covers is only 112 pages. Maybe a flashback spotlight could be in there?
As we know, the latest issue covers the first half of Regeneration One, so I decided to put my trades on eBay.
They sold the other day, and when I went to check the delivery address I got a helluva shock - they were bought by Simon Furman!
After some Googling (and a fair amount of hysterical shrieking) I determined it was definitely him (delivery address is the one Wildfur is registered at), so I wrote him a nice, not-too-fanboy note to go in the parcel.
He's since messaged me confirming it's him anyway - apparently he buys quite a few issues on eBay to sell at conventions, has anyone else had this happen? A bit like what Stewart Lee does with his DVDs.
I've been giddy ever since - my wife, of course, rolls her eyes and couldn't care less.
Damn, though. Simon Furman bought my (his) comics. That's made my year.
My wife would be just as disinterested and I would be just like you. So cool.
