Shouldn't their energon had been drained like Sentinel's?
The Space Bridge is fueled by Energon, that giant, shining blue pilar on the moon was enough to wake them up.
Nah, even though they were probably on the moon as long as Sentinel, Soundwave probably went up frequently to give them Energon. Or what Balder said, both theories work.
The way I saw it, Sentinel Prime crashed on the moon many years ago, and through the crash/marooning he powered down.
Years afterward the Decepticons, who were aware of his flightplan (through his deal with Megatron) came to the crashsite to loot it of the spacebridge pillars, but realised Sentinel was effectively dead, but these Decepticons are fresh and after completing their task, hid themselves on the moon.
This does explain why Megatron was so intent on finding the Allspark in the first film, either to power himself up, revitalise Cybertron, or reactivate Sentinel Prime (in order to activate the Space Bridge and save Cybertron).
Even the Sun Eaters in ROTF was to provide energy to revitalise Cybertron, the way it appears here is that Megatrons Ultimate goal was the 'noble' resurrection of Cybertron, but his ultimate tyrannical nature came out in the end.
It doesn't fit in with the Decepticons who attack Egypt from Mars, or whereever it was they were stationed in ROTF. Surely when that attack happened a lot more 'Cons would have rained from the sky, only from the Moon, not Mars?
Cause they weren't drifting for 12,000 years and crashed on a moon.
The Decepticon fleet arrived approximately in 1964 when the USSR's Luna 4 spotted the pillars dragged outside the Ark.
To prevent human snooping and the Fallen's Seekers getting a whiff of Megatron's plan Soundwave started to to recruit and coerce to subvert the US and Russian space programs. Both ending in 1972.
That is a good question. I believe that all the Decepticons came out of Cybertron and hid on the moon but were able to perserve themselves until the time to come out of hiding.
The only thing I didn't like about this whole "didn't have energon do they went into stasis lock" business is that THEY NEVER SHOWED ANYONE eating/using/whatever Energon anywhere, ever. If it was such a big deal, you'd at least show someone making it at some point.
Only around 200 came out of Washington. The fleet would be from one scene 7 or 8 ships.
