Earlier tonight, a extended sneek peek of the upcoming movie, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" aired during the encore presenation of Fringe on Fox. It looks like a great movie, based on the sneek peek. My only concern with the movie is the pace. With so much action and a build-up for the movie; I fear the story could get rushed towards the climax of the film. I will see it nonetheless. The film hits the big screen on 12-12-08.

I had enough with all those remakes, but I will reserve judgment until the
movie hits the screens, or get reviewed.

I have absolutely no desire to see this.

Taking one of the greatest science fiction thrillers of all time and turning it into yet another mindless action flick is just...wrong.

    GRRRR

Anyway, yeah, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is IMO one of the greatest science fiction films ever, they shouldn't have messed with it, a remake is totally unnecessary,

I'm very glad to see a couple people with some sense and taste in this time of constant unnecessary remakes.

I just hope to see similar sentiment from people when we start seeing more of the Taking of the Pellum remake.
