Yes to no 3D. Meh to the title. Meh to no Riddler, because I was really starting to like the idea of him being the villain.
Everyone sure he isn't pulling a Bay? I like the title, it has the epicness of DK and rises. I don't see how you could have The Riddler in it without making the movie silly or ruining the character. What I want to see is if there will be a new suit design?
Dang, I was hoping it would be "The Goddamn Batman". Aw well, there's always the fourth one. Anyway, this title is decent, although it doesn't roll off the tongue very well. Also glad that it won't be in 3-D; the sooner that goes away, the better.
Meh Riddler is too jokerish. Kinda glad hes out if anything he could of be good as a supporting villian.
Man, that makes me a happy person. The Dark Knight Rises, eh? Maybe the theme of this one is returning to being a hero, after his near-vigilante run in Dark Knight. He probably feels horrible after what happened to Dent, and is trying to redeem himself. Therefore, he's trying to "rise." After how perfect Heath Ledger was in Dark Knight, I'm going to be very sad to not see him return. I get that it does indeed feel disrespectful to get another actor in the wake of Ledger's death and perfect performance, but still. It's gonna suck without the Joker. Not saying the movie will suck as a whole without the Joker, but it will kinda stink without him. The movie will no doubt be just as great as Dark Knight and Batman Begins.
I'm seeing it anyway but the title is pretty weak. No surprise that the general consensus is that it's an awesome title. Nolan can do no wrong and Bay can do no right.
So, because you dislike the title, and everyone else thinks it's "awesome" they're just going along because it's Nolan?
Title's nice, & I have no real preference on the 3D matter, I just hope that the studio execs don't force it to be post converted because "3D makes money, so EVERYTHING has to be in 3D so we can be richer & Scrooge McDuck into our money!!!!!!!!!!" Hope we get a villian reveal soon, or at least a new castmember or 2.
I don't really like the title. I think they should have gone with the "nickname motif" and called it "The Caped Crusader"
I was hoping for The Dark Knight Returns, but that's cool too I guess. As for the villain, I really can't imagine who could top The Joker or Two-Face. But I would love to see Harley Quinn in it.
