I can see Christian Bale in his Bat-man costume astride that and the "What the hell" could easily turn into "COOLNESS". What concerns me though is the guns. I really hated that Michael Keaton's Batmobile had machine guns on it. This new continuity seems very true to the spirit of the character and his refusal to use a gun. Maybe we'll get this line in the movie: Rubber Bullets. Honest.
Yeah. I think it looks weird, but I said the same thing about the Tumbler when I first saw it. And then I saw it on the big screen. I guess it IS all about context. ^_^
Forward facing triple exhausts on each side of the front wheel? We'll have to see about that. I am also concerned that there is no fender over the rear wheel to keep Bats from succumbing to the "no capes" curse as seen in The Incredibles.
My reaction to that is the same as my reaction to the movie Batmobile. I hated it until I saw it in action. I still prefer the sports car type Batmobile, but the tougher movie version was pretty cool.
I like it. The Tumbler is (IMO) the best Batmobile ever, and this could easily be the best Batcycle. BTW, I am also hoping for "Rubber Bullets. Honest." That would ROCK.
I'll wait to see it in action. Still, I had kind of hoped that we wouldn't see other bat vehicles in this incarnation of the bat-franchise.
"Bat Pod" eh? I'm suddenly getting images of Batman flying around in one of the those Cobra Flight Pods.
Oh come on, he could chase criminals in his Bat-skates, Bat-rocket powered roller skates. That would be awesome. Or he could launch himself from a cannon and descend on crime using a Batchute or batglider. Maybe he could launch himself with a Bat-a-pult.
Hey, did I say him in a Cobra Pod would be BAD? ^_~ What he REALLY needs are his Bat-Ice Skates from Batman & Robin! Whoops, probably went too far there...
After 'Begins,' I'm prepared to give these guys as much benefit of the doubt as they ask for, up to (but not including) anything neon or nippled. And especially not neon nipples.
Hmmn, first thought it was a rearshot, but I just saw how the handlebars are positioned....Definately guns of some kind, yeah.
I'll see how it goes in motion in the movie since I initially doubted the bulkiness of the Tumbler in Begins, then realized how awesome it was later.
