Have we heard anything new about it?
If we did it'd probably wind up on the front page, and all we've seen to support it is a
"new" Rodimus deco.
hope there is one i never got any of those molds.
What if it's galvatron, cyclonus, and scourge?
If it turned out like this and that Rodimus repaint was sold separately, I'd be happy. I already have all 3, but my Rodimus is broken thus making it the only one I'm interested in replacing.
I'm in the same position as CI.
That said I love both the Cyclonus and Galvatron molds and wouldn't mind having more.
Yeah I honestly wish I would have picked up a second Cyclonus back when they were out.
G1 Deathsaurus. Space-turkey jive!
Nothing yet, but I'm certainly going to buy it. I hope they figured out a way to improve Galvy's shoulders, but I doubt it. At least improve the paint scheme (no orange). That would require effort. Either way, I'd still get the set.
If this rumor turns out to be 100% true. Do you think it odd that Hasbro would allow FP to create a Shattered Glass Cyclonus and then make another Cyclonus in the same year? Or does the contract rights only apply to Botcon exclusives?
Isn't that the reason FP couldn't make a Thundercracker? Cuz Hasbro has plans for the mold...
Subject line should have the word "rumored" added.
So yeah nothing new. Just the photo of a Rodimus that might be from this theoretical set.
I have Rodimus and Cyclonus (and a spare weaponless Cyc) but I might get the 3-pack if it exists, is a reasonable price, and has interesting decos for the figures.
There is no Scourge toy though.
Marcelo Matere also had character art for the Rodimus we previously saw and a similarly cartoon colored Cyclonus (think the purple he was on the show using the Universe Cyclonus art but with completely purple chest like the Henkei and a silver and black Nightstick) for sale as prints at BotCon 2010.
I asked him about them and he said that they were for releases that had yet to come out. I asked two guys from the Hasbro team about it and they said it was something he did himself (and were rather jerky about it). But I'm sure they were just saying that to cover up the fact they didn't want the news out yet.
You can see a photo of the Hot Rod artwork at the link below (I didn't take a photo of the Cyclonus one as it was on his table and I didn't think it right to do so from so close up).

I think perhaps he was supposing that they'd mass produce the Botcon Scourge (or a variant) like they've done with Thrust?
There is a Generations Scourge coming, but that's a long way off from now.
That would actually make too much sense so that will never happen.
There is one coming out this year in the generations line, which may be what he was referring too.
