So, we had a Tankformer thread not to long ago, so how about a Cycleformer topic? Post and talk about your favorite two-wheeled mean machines. I'm starting to get into cycleformers myself, and I'd like to hear which ones people own and love.

    Personally, I've got:

My latest cycleformer. Definitely an improvement on the original Prowl in every way, and the original was no slouch.

Not the greatest Transformer in terms of actually BEING a motorcycle, but I can't help but love him, due to my love of Beast Wars.

The only Cycleformer I'm aware of that actually comes with his own rider, Sideways is also cool to me because of the whole Headmaster thing, too.

I actually only picked this guy up because I got him dirt cheap... and I TOTALLY don't regret it. He actually surprised me by how much I liked him.

I don't normally buy repaints, but in this case, their gimmick was so cool I couldn't pass it up. Like with Sideways, the fact that they can ride each other like that is just TOO cool to me.

...and the runt of the litter. I really only like this guy as a component of Perceptor. And even then, he's the worst component, in my book.

I like Cycleformers. Well, then they have decent engineering. Like TFA Prowl, TFA Oil Slick, RiD Arcee, and ROTF Reverb/Knockout/Trenchmouth/Backfire.

In adition to them, I also own HFTD Brimstrone, TF07 Arcee, and FE Arcee.

Prime RID Arcee, Animated Prowl and HFTD Brimstone I love.

RTS Wreck Gar is pretty good I guess. And HA Basic Tailpipe is neat.

    I think that's all I have.

Of the ones I've had, I've loved Cybertron Lugnutz, Movie (Scout) Arcee, and ROTF Reverb.

Brimstone is definitely one of my top molds.
Arcee... not so much. Only other cycleformer I have, though.

Having recently watched Armada I'm tempted to get Sideways (love the character and his bizarre head-gimmick), though his toy is a bit clunky looking. And I'm doubtful any modern update (assuming of course he got one) would include the Mini-Cons.

Oh lordy, Cycleformers. They're definitely one of my vices.

    Currently, I have:
RiD Axor & Sideways (though they've been on the chopping block to sell for a while)
    Armada High Wire
Energon Arcee (albeit the TFTM 07 Target-exclusive repaint)
    Cybertron Ransack
    TFTM 07 Deluxe Arcee
    TFA Samurai Prowl
    TFA Oil Slick
    ROTF Knockout
    ROTF Legends Arcee
    HFTD Brimstone
    RTS Wreck-Gar
    Generations Junkheap
    DOTM Tailpipe
    DOTM Reverb (sort of counts)
Prime FE Arcee (both regular and NYCC)
    Prime RID Arcee
    Prime Cyberverse Arcee

Sideways... let me say this about Sideways. How much do you like the gimmicks he has with his Minicons? Because if you do get him, that's EXACTLY what you'll get.

Sideways by himself is probably one of my worst figures. His default head is kinda dumb-looking, he's practically unposeable (even by Armada standards, which is saying something), his vehicle mode is extremely bulky for a cycleformer, and his missles are total crap.

But the Minicons themselves are actually quite neat. While nothing special separately, their combined form is actually surprisingly poseable, with lots of ball joints and hinges (it's a head joint and waist swivel away from being perfect). And, as I said, I do enjoy the fact that they can ride Sideways in vehicle mode. And, of course, there's the Headmaster thing.

So, I can't REALLY say that I recommend him, but at the same time, I can't say that I regret having him in my collection.

    I have:
    Movie 07 Arcee
    RotF Arcee
    ROTF Chromia
RotF scout Knockout, and every repaint of him(he's one of my favorite bike molds)
    HftD Brimstone
    Animated Samurai Prowl
    DotM Tailpipe
Prime FE deluxe Arcee (also the Cyberverse one)
    EDIT: forgot RTS Wreck-Gar x2
The bikes that came with HA Skids, Mudflap, and yeah Jazz if that counts.

Oh and I have a little lime green motorcycle minicon. Forgot his name.

Samurai Prowl probably takes the cake as the best motorcycle TF I've ever had. ROTF Knockout is probably second. FE Arcee takes third.

I think Samurai Prowl is probably the best of the bunch. I also have RiD Arcee who is pretty decent, and lets not forget Cyberverse Arcee also as I think for its size, that toy is several shades of awesome.

I also have Generations Wreck-Gar and Junkheap. I don't often buy repaints but that gimmick is too cool not to make use of it.

Other than that, the only one I have is HA Jazz's gun.

Beast Machines Thrust has always been a favorite of mine:
    [IMG][IMG]

All-time favorite would be either Junkheap (never got Wreck-Gar) or Oil Slick.

    I concur.

Somehow, it seems like a lot of bang for your buck. for a DX.

I think Wreck-Gar/Junkheap/Scrapheap take the cake. Nothing beats a robot-riding-the-alt mode gimmick.

Lugnutz is an awesome little guy as well.

Ransack isn't bad either, but I'd like it more if the feet were designed differently.

    My favourites:

    G2/Robot Masters Road Rocket

    Robotmasters Double Face (G1 Sideways)

G1 Afterburner (coolest TF motorcycle ever)

G1 Override (the chrome flip out particle beam cannons are the coolest gimmick ever)

    Energon/07 Movie Scout Arcee

    Botcon Chromia

I've had Afterburner and Override since childhood and they're still 2 favourites of mine.

    Surprise noone's mentioned Iguanus.

This thread suffers from a serious lack of Cybertron Ransack.

    Yeah, Ransack is awesome.

I love Bikeformers, mainly because they're like Human Alliance Transformers for other action figures. Hrm. Lemme dig out old pics.

Energon Arcee and Cybertron... Oil Slick? Don't remember the name.

I remember being quite proud of this back in the day.

But the best has to be TF07 Arcee and Revoltech Revy.

    Pure love.

    I think I have...

    Armada High Wire (Minicon)
Armada Nightbeat (Minicon, the best thing about Armada Sideswipe LOL)
    Armada Sideways
    Armada Sureshock (Minicon Scooter!)
    Energon Arcee
Energon High Wire (Minicon, could they make him worse than his Armada incarnation? Yes they could!)
Cybertron Lugnutz (that was his name!)
    Cybertron Ransack
    Cybertron Ransack GTS
    Animated Oil Slick
    Animated Prowl
    Animated Samurai Prowl
    Animated Prowl (Legend)
TF07 Arcee (pretty much my favourite deluxe of all time believe it or not)
    ROTF Arcee
    ROTF Arcee (Legend)
    ROTF Arcee (HA)
    ROTF Chromia
    ROTF Chromia (HA)
    ROTF Reverb
    RTS Chopsaw
    RTS Wreck-Gar...

I think thats it, still quite a lot though.

I like bikeformers in the same way I like snakeformers, designers have to be inventive to get the best out of the Alt modes!

    Prime Arcee (RID)
