I was watching an episode of NOVA about the sun just now and come up with a doomsday scenario. If Cybertron had a sun (in some continuities it does) and a magnetic field, a coronal mass ejection could cause a planet-wide bath in electromagnetic waves, thus permanently immobilizing all cybertronians, all cities, all wildlife, and even the entire planet itself (since it is mechanical). There's a devastating natural disaster of doomsday proportions for ya!

Do any of you have ideas on a natural apocalypse of Cybertron?

I would say Miko, but the bots would probably kill her before getting to Cybertron.

Acid rain perhaps, melting parts of Cybertronian life, buildings, and planet.

Cybertron had water in G1, I remember Dinobots going after robotic fish on it.

But even a real Cybertron would have some water, outside forces would bring it. Say like from a comet crashing into the planet, releashing water as vapour, then raining back to the surface.

I'm thinking like acid raining from the sky. Say like its first a weapon of war that grows out of control and becomes apart of the planet's atmosphere. So it could bring death at any moment on any location.

stormbringer brushed upon the idea of environmental disaster but in my opinion it was a bit clumsy in dealing with the subject matter. The only time I can think of when cybertron has actually been destroyed (and not just in an alternate reality to the main narrative) is in headmasters. I personally think destroying cybertron would be a really interesting storyline as it could affect and develop a large amount of the cast in different ways, I can't believe managed to make such a powerful and interesting story development so boring

In fiction, Cybertron has been blown up, sliced in half and imploded, eaten by a god of chaos, Razed to rubble and taken over by nigh-unstoppable servants of said god, and starved to death by resource depletion and nearly endless war.

They've got plenty to worry about besides an EMP.

In-universe, it seems that cybertronians are the most common cause of the demise of Cybertron. Aside from that, it really depends on continuity. It could collide with another planet or star in universes where it's free floating, for example.

Are Cybertronians water-proof? If not, then tidal wave, tsunami, or flood would be big disaster, make everybody rust in peace.

Pretty sure they are waterproof. The oceans on cybertron are made of acid or other stuff in some universes though.

well I guess if all life on Cybertron died (except said scraplets) then they would... They do prefer living metal after all.
