The balcony is closed. At the Movies is Cancelled. - toonzone forums I've been enjoying Phillips and Scott. ABC should've had these two instead of the two Bens. The last episode will be at the tail end of August. To really appreciate the show, you can watch almost ever movie review done by Ebert,Siskel, Roeper, or any other critic at At the Movies And here's Nostalgia Critic's tribute of sorts to the show. Even Ebert liked it. Siskel and Ebert
It is sad (from a nostalgic view) to see it go, but the last few hosts i had no real vested interest in. Siskel and Ebert's passion drove the show. nowadays, it barely stands out from the countless tabloid shows or online talkback heavy sites. the difference is like hearing Martin Scorsese talk intimately about the nuance of a particular film (which i could listen to for hours) or hearing a 15 year old review "Lawrence of Arabia". That's why i think it's time has come and should respectfully shelved.
Same thing happens with Phillips and Scott. They remind me of Siskel and Ebert a lot. They even have the same physique. Phillips= Taller critic who looks at the pros and cons of a movie just like Siskel Scott= Smaller critic who anylyzes many aspects of the film to review it.
