I don't remember seeing a thread about cult movies, so here it is. Discuss your favorites, give recommendations, etc. I know there is no standard definition of cult movie, so try to use your common sense.

A few of my faves are: Dawn of the Dead (original), The Warriors, and They Live.

Anybody seen 'Class of 1984'? I was thinking about picking it up, but the reviews are mixed...

    Edit: For a little clarification...

Rocky Horror Picture Show = Cult
    Forrest Gump = Not Cult
Pink Flamingos = Cult (though repugnant)
    Titanic = Not Cult

Big Lebowski...though I think that one is so popular it may be considered mainstream nowadays.

Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind. Eugene Levy are Christopher Guest are hilarious.

Add "The Forbidden Zone" to that list, just for the WTF factor.

Blade Runner is top of the list if that still counts now that its awesomeness is more widely acknowledged.

I'm one of about 10 people who actually liked Dune, its utter toss compared to the book but its great from a production design and cast standpoint.

Got to mention Spinal Tap, Tron and Death Race 2000 as well.

Althougth they are just plain crap instead of cult, Charles Bronson's Stone Killer needs mentioning for the uttery hilarious car chase and Robert Patrick's Zero Tolerence for sheer LOL value.

Two of the best "cult" films to ever come out of Britain also happen to star the excellent Richard E. Grant:

Withnail & I and How to get ahead in advertising. If you haven't seen them, do so... now!!

-The Warriors"Can you dig it? Caaan youuuu dig iiiiitttt?"
-The Last Dragon"Whose The baddest?" "Sho'nuff"
It could be so badass if someone with vision spliced concepts and characters from both and put them into one movie "The Last Dragon Vs The Warriors"

Glad to see that Spaced Invaders was mentioned. I love that movie. I didn't realize that Gleaming the Cube was a cult film. It is surprisingly good for a movie that was made to cash in on the skatebording craze. Oh, how I wanted a metal skateboard, after seeing that movie.

My own addition to this has to be The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai: Across the eighth dimension. That movie rivals an episode of Venture Bros. for funny quotes.

Can't forget the original Beastmaster, either.
