    I can't quote the article since it's 4 page read.But I've linked to it.

    I'm pretty speechless :redface2:

I'm just disgusted right now,LORD those guys need to "wrap it up" and the women need to quit being so loose & easy.In this day and age this kind of irresponsibility is INEXCUSEABLE:mad

And those men having sex on the d/l*Down-Lo* need to use protection MORE SO.Because whatever they catch from their male sex partner they're giving it to their wives:puke:

Its a similar story over here apparently. The African and Caribbean communities account for something like 12 times as many new cases of HIV and AIDS then us natives, almost all of it being spread via regular sex.

Yeah. condoms are always a must. even still I get tested every 6 months. I think if your sexually active you should get tested for everything every 6 months.

Perhaps the current Government should be more concerned with there country, vs someone else’s.

People also have to stop thinking that it doesn't happen to them is their community. Turning a blind eye to things like Gay sex, or unprotected sex, or drug use is partly part of the problem. Making law against something like this is also not going to solve anything.

Note: I am not trying to be to political and I hope this thread stays open, but when I read stuff like this I just feel that the citizens have been let down by their government. :banghead:

Hope I didn't give the impression I'm surprised that HIV is within the black community TJ.Because I'm not,I'm more surprised that Black people on average have a higher case rate of HIV then any other race.

And the citizens weren't failed by the government. They were failed by themselves. If I guy knows how to plow a woman's cooch then he knows how to use a condom. If a woman knows how to give good head, she knows about the pill.

Problem is people don't care these days. You know it's bad when a 14 yr old teen mother is as common as apple pie

I should re-state. The people who are surprised are the ones who feel it doesn't happen in there communities, and I think most people who live a fairly middle to upper class communities would see this a say, 'well not hear, in my corner of the universe’ While their husband is getting it off with the guy down the street.

The higher HIV in Black communities is not because they are black, it is because they are poor, and unfortunately more Black people are poor. White people are just as at risk.

Who's fault is it? I guess it depends what you like. I am a socialist and feel that the government should take a more involved stance to help the people, through medical treatment, awareness etc. Preaching hard work and god are not always the answers to these people who have indeed lost their way. And as for the Protection, these people are to involved in drugs to really care about protection.
I totally agree with you. Is it something that can be fixed though???

Look at TV and music and ask me that again:lol

Seriously though unfortunately not as today's society is way more sex-centric then it was 10 yrs ago.I'm from the old school Degrassi Generation

Because back when I was 14 NO ONE I knew was preganat.Yet today like I said,it's common place.

I just do my part by following what I believe is right in terms of sexual beliefs. And I think it's worked as I don't have a rep of being a hound or have any kids

I tend to agree with you, Popular music and Television are a huge influence on the younger generation of people. Have we made a mistake in thinking that kids have the capacity to not act like what is portrayed on tv or in music videos. I hope not, but when you see all the 14 year old dressing the way they are...

Another example is that Jamaican singer Rehanna. From what I understand she is 16 yrs old and bumping and grinding with girls and other fellas. Where is the line that we cross to say that it is inappropriate?

    :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol

Degrassi was the best. With the exception of Stephanie Kaye, there were no lookers in the bunch. Want a way to teach boys to stay away from girls, make them all fugly. :lol

I knew a one or two that were Prego in high school, but that is it. Like you said, happening quite often.

FYI Rihanna's Barbadian TJ,born in '88 so she's 18 yrs not 16. But trust me I've seen enough Reggae vids. Those women move in ways that make sex look less vulgar.

People in the black community(at least the ones I know)refer to that style of dancing as the "Sex with clothes on" style. If youtube.com wasn't offline for maintainence right now I'd link to some vids to illustrate my point.

passa passa, and it'd definitely be more appropriate to call it dancehall than reggae. I wish reggae was still more associated with peter tosh, burning spear, bob marley and the like, than sean paul, elephant man and the like...but that's getting off topic.

18, really. I swear to god I hear on the radio that she was younger. I guess I could have done a search on google :redface2:

Sex with clothes on should be taught with the other classics. Ballet, tap, jazz and SWCO.

Props to ckhtiger for being familiar with Dancehall

True we did slightly deviate though.

I always used to think Maury's show was BS.Evey single paternity guest is either black or latino.

But after reading some of that article,I don't know anymore.

I just wished people cared more.I mean, pregancy scares the living hell out of me.Let alone worrying about AIDS.

This article cements my belief. When I get into a serious relationship, before it goes ANY further I'm asking the woman 1)"How many people have you slept with?" and 2)Would you agree to be tested?

Refusal to answer #1 would raise my eyebrows in suspicion. If she answers NO to #2 then I'm done with her.We only have 1 life,a 30 second orgasm's not worth endangering one's health and possibly life

I think you misread what I said bro:wink:

I wouldn't know since I stopped watching Springer since it became more about cheap hookers and trannies
