Post cool, cheap gift ideas, or formerly expensive stuff on sale...

    For instance:

WalMart has the uberbadass King Kong (1933) gift set for $17.88! That's a super bargain as it includes the original film in a two-disk remastered set in a tin, but it also includes a reprint of the program from when the flick first ran at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Not to mention this is the Best Buy version (WTF?) that also includes five additional one-sheet post cards, along with the five that were already included in the set.

Did I mention it also includes Mighty Joe Young and Son of Kong.

It's a steal. I bought it as a gift to me, from me, for being such a good boy this year.

In the same vein, the had the LOTR Theatrical Trilogy, The Austin Powers Trilogy, Blade Trilogy, and a badass Steve McQueen boxset.

So, any of you guys find any cool bargains. They don't have to be DVDs, just anything kinda geeky.

I'm definitely in need of bargains. I haven't been out shopping yet, but I really need to. Once I do I'll fill you guys in on any cheap stuff I find.

I'm not too heavy on cash so this year is gonna be tight for me as far as Christmas shopping goes :(

Thanks for the heads up on those items Jiggles.

Wal-Mart has the LOTR deluxe boxsets for under $20 apiece.

That's the extended editions with maquettes. They make great bookends.
