Out of the four Constructicons who actually had close-up action sequences in ROTF, which was your favorite?

 

I just voted on Long Haul because he looks like a total brute you shouldn't fuck with.

 

Rampage was cool. I was a big fan of the more unique approach the designs took to the Constructicons. Not just "humanoid robot". We had characters who flipped on their hands to fire a cannon on their back, pogo-stick-jumping tread-whipping Rampage, unicycle of doom Demolishor/Scavenger. And of course, the concept art for Overload where he looked like a motherf**king crab of death.

The Constructicons as a whole have been some of my favorite TF designs ever. One thing that always bugged me about most Gestalt teams is that they were all human-like bots that combined into one giant human-like bot among a whole army of human-like bots. Too redundant (doesn't help the original Constructicons were all the same two colors, either), especially considering how wildly different their alts were. Not these guys, no. All sorts of crazy in this team.

My favorite would be Hightower, followed closely by Scavenger/Demolishor. They take "quirky non-human-like bot mode" to a whole other level.
I'm also a sucker for ridiculously huge alt modes.

 

Rampage because he was one of the few Decepticons who actually spoke. And he had a pogo stick. Who doesn't like pogo sticks.

 

Demolishor and Mixmaster did as well.

Demolishor: "This planet is not yours to rule. The Fallen shall rise again."

Mixmaster: "Listen up!"

 

Mixmasters quote was probably just garbled gibberish that kinda sounded like English. Closed captioning makes those mistake all the time.

 

Not DVD subtitles though.

 

I don't remember that one at all. Closed captions/subtitles aren't always accurate. Just look at Chugway and Scurrydown.

 

It was the scene right before Jetfire crash-landed and sliced MixMaster in half with his fucking awesome battle axe.

 

Either Mix said, "Listen up, people! I got something for you!" or "Driller-bot is thirsty"
So, incoherent Cybertroninan.

 

I loved them all. They all had great designs IMO and it is really hard for me to pick. I guess if i HAD to make a choice it would be Mixmaster just cause his back-pack cannon.

 

Long Haul had the most solid design.

 

i thought demolishers rampage was pretty epic.although he only lasted a few short minutes,it was just awesome to see him flipping cars and ripping that bridge apart while prime jumped onto his head.

 

Both Demolisher and Mixmaster died too easily. Although, at least Mix blew up a bunch of tanks before dieing. Zebadee didn't do that well against Bee but it was something. However I have mixed feeling about his pogo stick leg.

I decided to vote Longhaul because he did spend a long time shooting up Nest and died from massive bombing.

 

Skipjack was the best.

 

I'm confused.....why would Devastator not be an option? He is, after all, the main point of the Constructicons being a group........

 

One of them shot Ironhide in the chest. He killed the Arcees, then shot at Ironhide.

Or was that Bonecrusher MKII?
